Does TalkTalk notify Tvlicence agency if someone buys there service?

Just wondering if companies like talktalk sky and virgin pass on New customers details to tv licensing agency.

Thank's for the reply Buzby. I was under the impression that a change in law recently means that a company selling tv receiving equipment are not allowed to pass on customer details to anyone including tv licencing authority.0

ISPs were not part of the Dealer Notification rules, which were recently revoked, anyway. As mentioned, they have obtained subscription details after catching evaders in the past - makes for a more damning case in Court.
"TV licensing agency" is a misnomer - we are talking about TVL, which is a trading name of the BBC.
The Talktalk Youview service is legally usable without a TV aerial and without a TV licence, so TT would not know which of their customers were potential evaders, anyway.0
