Using Libreoffice - have spent all day trying to do this.
Looks brilliant on the screen but when I print it out there are no lines, boarders - just text.
Don't know where I have gone wrong
Any ideas???

I know it's possible, because I've done it myself. I assume you're using the regular 'table' option to create your table?
Are the lines visible on print preview?0 -

yes lines visible on print preview - I have used the spreadsheet and then transfer to text documentTypically confused and asking for advice0 -
Ah right, I haven't done that. I used the table feature on the Office and it printed fine. Maybe it's the transference from spreadsheet to office that it doesn't like. But can't help there, sorry. Good luck with it.0

Hi,
don't use it, but found this, might help,
When printing a sheet you can select which details are to be printed:- Row and column headers
- Sheet grid
- Comments
- Objects and graphics
- Charts
- Drawing objects
- Formulas
- Select the sheet you want to print.
- Choose Format - Page.
The command is not visible if the sheet was opened with write protection on. In that case, click the Edit File icon on the Standard Bar. - Select the Sheet tab. In the Print area mark the details to be printed and click OK.
- Print the document.

I know this may sound silly but are you sure that you have ticked the box 'print gridlines' in the page set-up?0

Thanks for the replies - done as suggested but -
the problem seems to be once I copy the spreadsheet onto a text document the grid no longer prints.
I am trying to print out two spreadsheets on one page with a picture inserted from a file as the heading.
Any one know how to go about it?Typically confused and asking for advice0 -
See here, it could be that adding the image is causing the issue.
Check that the borders are actually on in Writer by right clicking the table then Edit Object. Alternatively, could you not just to it all from Calc rather than pasting to Writer?0 -
