Need a logo designed- cheap but quality

    Out of interest, how complicated is the logo you had in mind? As long as it is not overly graphical with monkeys in it and stuff you might be able to do a good job of it yourself with something like photoshop or illustrator as someone else suggested. That might be worth a try to start off with at least, and if you think it isn't very good then perhaps consider hiring a professional.
  • With my current business I just used Word to save on costs. It just seemed to work and after 3 years I see no reason to change it. However, I will be looking for another logo design soon and will get a designer to do it. I have been looking at the website peopleperhour.com. It was suggested on here on another thread.

    Is it purely textual?

    If so go to dafont.com, type the name of your company in the 'your text' box and then browse your company name in all the different fonts until you find one you like. A lot of the fonts are free but would be nice to make a donation. If you don't have any kind of programme that will let you use the font then set the point size to as large as possible and do a screen grab.

    Then when you can afford it, get a professional.
