Faulty phone - 7 months left of 24 month contract

Hello, I have 7 months (roughly) left on a 24 month contract with T Mobile. My phone is an HTC Explorer, which I have found frustrating due to it repeatedly telling me that I have no storage space (even after I've deleted loads) and an unresponsive touchscreen. Final straw came yesterday, I can now no longer send or view texts and a call to a T Mobile operator who told me to take the battery and SIM out and replace them has not solved the problem, and worse still left me with a poor signal, unable to use Facebook, and wrong time/date which phone settings won't let me change.
I have a pretty good deal with T Mobile at the moment, 100 mins, unlimited texts and enough net usage that I've never gone over the limit, for £9.11 plus VAT. I'd need a phone on similar terms that is more reliable than my current one as I'm not really interested in getting in repaired.
Does anyone have any advice about how I can go about getting a similar price contract plus free/low cost phone?

buy a sim free phoneDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Well for starters,HTC offer 2 year warranties
Does your phone have an SD card fitted?0 -

You don't *take* it.Crystalline wrote: »I can't remember if I actually took out the warranty.
It just comes with the phone.
Try moving as much as possible to the card. Delete old unneeded messages and unnecessary apps.I do have an SD card but I still receive constant alerts about lack of space.0 -
No point paying for 2 contracts when you can have the phone repaired for free0

I would backup and try a factory reset first.
And/ Or check for an update .
But if you don't want the phone repaired any unlocked phone should be OK .
