Don't often post, but read every day. I just wondered if anyone had heard of Hester as I seem to have lost her blog and wondered if she was ok
Thanks

Washing done and almost all dried. Tempted to wash the blanket off the sofa too but have chucked a pair of bf's shoes in for now and will dry them outside, its a pair of summer plimpsols so will be perfect for this week as he has a week off and the weather is nice.
Most of the cleaning is now done, just the carpets to vac, clean bedding to pop on and clean laundry to sort , Oh and a little bit of dusting, and I have had a good go at the honeysuckle/other big plants along that side of the garden which all needed taking back a bit. I haven't left them perfect just yet but 100 times better than they were!
Will dust, then vac first. Have a little break then pop the clean bedding on, then have my tea before sorting the clean clothes/spare room.
Think I will have an ice cream from the freezer tonight and pop some angel delight ice cream in to freeze for during the next couple of days************************************

I do feel for the furbabies in this weather; they can't exactly take their coats off, after all (though you wouldn't think this was the case if you saw our lounge carpet:D ). Yesterday Jessie and I shared the fan, as we were both way too hot. I used to cope fine with the heat, but as the lupus has progressed, I can't handle it at all now.:(
We saw the young Husky that lives locally when we took Jessie for a walk this morning - poor lad looked as if he was melting under all that thuck fur; they're just not built for warm weather.
Dins will be sausage salad, with boiled spuds - Mr LW got some lovely spuds at the market yesterday, and it'd be a sin to do anything else with them.
Been to Mr T's this morning - they've had no own-label veggie mince for absolutely ages, and no own-label veggie sausages for almost as long - I need to find out what's going on, and most importantly, when/if they're going to have them again. I know I can get Qu0rn, but the sausages are expensive, and the mince is also expensive AND isn't as good as Mr T or Mr M's own-label, imho. Oh yes, Mr M hasn't had own-label veggie mince the last twice I've been, either.:(
Have you tried farmfoods for Quorn stuff? Its all 2 for £3 in there. There is one at Wolverton next to the little asda. I'm the opposite of you, don't like the tesco veggie mince, much prefer the quorn. However, I don't like quorn sausages unless they're in something like a casserole. I love Linda McCartney sausages though, and they are 99p in farmfoods!0 -

We all seem to have lost Hester's blog. I too hope she is ok - probably BT digging up her road again and she lost internet xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I hope Hester is ok too.
We are just about to sit down to our evening meal. Its late cause I fell asleep.:o
Am off to see the 'Outlaws' after we've eaten. Its her birthday today and I only remembered a couple of hours ago. My memory is dreadful.
I did try and talk hubby into going by himself but I think he prefers protection.:D I cant say i'm that keen on her myself, she tells me what to do and I don't like it. Still, her husband is affable. He normally gets the whisky out when we go. Hubby and his Sister sit there looking Po faced whilst we sit there getting happier by the glass.:rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Good evening chums, well I have had a terrific day first the 2 DDs came to visit. The eldest one came bearing a new filofax that I had been after for ages bless her, and a big lump of a machine that she got from work that was going to be binned as it had a small crack in the case Its called a Rapesco, and it basically is a machine that hold and dispenses sticky sellotape off a roll Its brilliant as my arthritic fingers have problems with a roll of sellotape and the air is always a shade of purple when I am trying to wrap things up. My DD knows me so well, she knew I would have been horrified if it had been chucked out. She also brought some flowers. Youngest DD also came bearing flowers, and we had a good couple of hours just nattering and reminiscing. After eldest had left, youngest said 'Your not sitting here on your own' so I went back with her to her house and we had some lunch and sat in the garden for awhile, and the boys had a great time with a big bag of balloons filling them with water and having a water fight,at the end DD and I and the boys were soaked through but in stiches and as it was so hot it didn't really matter as our clothes dried on us.
Smallest DGS said 'I do love you Gran as you never mind what a mess we get into 'Bless him he too was soaked.but after we had dried up a bit we went for a drive to Manor Country Park near West Malling and it was beautiful there we walked along the river and round the lake and saw some very fluffy half grown swans .There was lots of shady trees so we didn't get too hot.I was keeping a keen eye on the amount of blackberries there were in blossom a definite place for blackberrying after we come back from holiday.
Then we drove to Upnor and had a walk along by the River Medway and had a nice cool breeze and stopped in a local pub for a shandy.By this time it was getting on for 6.30 and we were going to go home for a BBQ, but I said no its a really special day today and I treated us all to a nice meal at the local Premier Inn restaurant. It came out of my 'Happy Cash' money ( this is a seperate account that I put a bit of cash into for special occasions and today was a special day so it was worth every penny) and I have just dropped them off home and came home had a shower and am almost ready for bed.We have had a day of laughter and fun, and it would have been just what he would have wanted, as his life was always full of that.
DD said as she got out of the car 'Well done Mum you've done him proud today' Bless her.
So now I am off to have a read and relax and mull over what a really happy day it been
Thank you all for your good wishes
Good Night God Bless all here

JackieO it sounds like you had a lovely day and enjoyed every memory making moment :-)
Well it took me some time to work up the motivation to sort the big pile of laundry but I got there in the end. Of it all there were just two pairs of bottoms and 6 tops that needed ironing - I was going to put it off until another night but instead I did it at 10.30pm!!
Every possible job that could be done has been done now - well in the house, the garden isn't finished!
Hoping the bedding will be 100% Dry before I leave for work, pretty sure its dry now but I'm never 100% sure, so I can put it away. Will also knock up a quick lunch for at work.
I know it's late but I'm going to shower now - fresh bedding needs a fresh me, Plus I know I will be cutting it fine if I try to shower in the morning.
Sweet dreams one and all :-)************************************
