Morning all.
It's sunny here, but there is a bit more cloud in the sky. I'm enjoying this weather - it's much better to feel a bit warm rather than chilly all the time.
Not much going on to day. Ebay sales for the weekend will be good, but hardly anyone has paid yet, I think everyone is out and about in the sun.
The washing machine is on, and I'll hang it out soon. It hardly takes any time at all to dry at the moment.
We are having honey and ginger glazed chicken breasts for lunch.
Have a good day all.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Morning all,
Roasting here, not a huge fan of this weather - I much prefer to be cooler, I was not made for heat! I will however be throwing myself out in to the garden around 2pm for an hour or so.
Bathroom mats are in the machine as they take longest ridgy from today's laundry. Then pup's blankets will be going in and finally the bedding I've taken off our bed this morning.
Unfortunately our house gets quite damp from the bathroom/drying laundry inside and everything else (even round the front door there is signs or damp!grr) so the nice thing about the good weather is being able to keep all the windows (all four haha) plus the back door open to air the place out!
Going to dust and vac through tonight and sort the cleaning laundry that has piled up in the spare room. If it cools down a little I will iron the few bits that need doing, if not I will just sort away the non-iron bits.
Bf flies home to the UK tonight and then will drive back home from London tomorrow - excited to see him but I really want to get the whole house spick and span before he's back. Not really much work but the heat leaves me feeling so...meh!
Meals today;
Breakfast: going to makes myself a sausage (cooked yesterday) and mushroom omelette
Lunch: probably just a fruity snack quite late one
Dinner: southern fried turkey with some more of the salad I made up yesterday so; lettuce, baby plum toms, cucumber and homemade potato salad and sweet chilli pasta plus a boiled egg :-)
Off to make breakfast and do the dishes. I think the chores will be done in stages today!************************************

Morning all,
Nothing much to add from me today. 'Youngest' according to his Facebook had a great time last night.... He still hasn't come home yet. I guess that means he will be asleep most of today.:D
Ive not got anything planned for my day. I certainly don't intend to be going anywhere as its too hot. Hubby will be tinkering in the shed again no doubt (that's when he wakes up). He's pinched one of the air con units which makes the temperature in there more bearable. He bought a new wok yesterday (Ken Hom eat your heart out!) so he will be doing a curry tonight. Its the only thing he can cook but he does it well!
I was up bright and early doing my jobs before it got too hot. Ive got some more rubbish to sort out for the bin men tomorrow but that can wait till this evening when its a little cooler.
My youngest daughter is loving the sun. Full term and she's managed to get a bit of a tan. She's a bit of a bronzed beauty but stopped using sunbeds and fake tan when she found she was pregnant. Personally, I wish she'd prefer to go pale and pasty like her Mum. Its safer but there you go.
News from 5 doors down. Unfortunately it was discovered that their youngest son (he's 45) has terminal cancer. Such a shame, he is such a nice man too. I cant imagine what he or the rest of his family are going through. Life can be cruel at times.

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]Little Timmy was too hot yesterday, I aimed the fan at his cage to keep him cool. I don't know why he insists on staying in there, it's too warm. His cage is really his dining room and bedroom, he has the run of the hall and kitchen, his cage is left open all day. He's very clean and tidy and never pees on the floor, he jumps back in his cage and heads for the same corner when he needs to go

We saw the young Husky that lives locally when we took Jessie for a walk this morning - poor lad looked as if he was melting under all that thuck fur; they're just not built for warm weather.
Dins will be sausage salad, with boiled spuds - Mr LW got some lovely spuds at the market yesterday, and it'd be a sin to do anything else with them.
Been to Mr T's this morning - they've had no own-label veggie mince for absolutely ages, and no own-label veggie sausages for almost as long - I need to find out what's going on, and most importantly, when/if they're going to have them again. I know I can get Qu0rn, but the sausages are expensive, and the mince is also expensive AND isn't as good as Mr T or Mr M's own-label, imho. Oh yes, Mr M hasn't had own-label veggie mince the last twice I've been, either.:(If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon All,
Another lovely day here, but a little cooler at about 20C, which is plenty warm.
Redruby - festival sounds like a great success and definitely something we would enjoy.
JackieO - lovely that the family are coming round to celebrate the many happy memories. BIG HUGS.
Judi - I'm sure your daughter is enjoying relaxing in the sun, as long as she doesn't overdo it. Sounds like an exciting week for you all to look forward to.
Took my ex FIL out for a few beers yesterday. Then we got a Chinese carryout and came back to ours to eat and have a chat. He is a widower (3 years now) and he gets lonely, but he has been well spoilt this week, as he has had company Thursday (my DD and partner), Friday (2 GD's and families), yesterday (us) and today (his DD).
Think we will go for a drive round our coast this afternoon, have an ice cream and then sit at the beach and watch the world go by.
Have a good day everyone. :beer:0 -
Afternoon all!
JackieO, I hope you enjoyed your reminiscing about OH with the girls!
Last night's curry was fantastic, we went to a restaurant in the Merchant City, it wasn't the cheapest, but we will definitely be going again for a treat!
Today all I have done is read, a lazy sunday, will need to rummage the freezer for something for dinner!
Suppose I better move myself, no inclination to do anything in the heat!RIP Iain

Afternoon All
JackieO - Enjoy those good memories with your DDs.
Judi - Sorry to hear about your neighbour.
LW - Have you tried A$da own veggie mince? I prefer it to QuOrn. Also their sausages are quite nice too. Not sure if you have an A$da near you.
Hugs to those not feeling up to scratch.
DD and my bedding been washed, dried, ironed and is now back on the beds, the weather is lovely but a bit cooler and breezy so ideal for washing.
Last night's work was awful - so busy and so much laundry from locker rooms and spa we were there till nearly 11! Still I have a day off today before another 7 nights in a row. Going to friends for tea when DD gets back from work.
DD had me doing her hair this morning (she's very nearly 21!). A french pleat up the back of her head and a bun on top, it's ages since I did a french pleat but I have to say it looked really nice.
Have a good Sunday. Take care. XX0 -
Thanks for the info Camelot; A$da isn't very near us, and it's a bit of an expedition, but if needs be, I can get Mr LW to drive me out there when we're "between dogs" iyswim.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

I do feel for the furbabies in this weather; they can't exactly take their coats off, after all (though you wouldn't think this was the case if you saw our lounge carpet:D ). Yesterday Jessie and I shared the fan, as we were both way too hot. I used to cope fine with the heat, but as the lupus has progressed, I can't handle it at all now.:(
Our naughty little pets don't like this weather at all. They normally snooze all cuddled up together under a pile of bedding but lately they have been in one hammock each with not a blanket in site.
Am sorry you are suffering in the heat LW. I find it makes all my scars itchy and tight and no matter how much moisturiser I put on, my skin just feels dry and sore all of the time. I get free factor 50+ sun screen on prescription but just try and keep covered up to avoid having to apply itLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin
