It's my mum's fault, lol! We will only be there on the Sunday night, and have to go home on Monday morning, but will go to the harbour bar first because it looks nice.

We live between flamingo land and scarborough, I would recommend east gate chip shop at Pickering or the potter hill one but that's a slight D tour.
In scarborough I would recommend rennards on castle road/st Thomas st corner, there isn't one on the sea front I would use unless it was winking willys, avoid Harry ramsdons, small expensive portions and a huge wait.

I second "Rennards" in Scarborough, it's fab!

Reading this with interest as we are going there in a few weeks. We went to the blue dolphin site last time and heard his one is bigger and better.

  • Your best bet is to get bus into filey and do food shop - there is herons which is cheap or tesco and there is spar also but thats quite pricey. There is no hotel outside the park. There is petrol station with small shop and behind that there is a pub that serves meals.

Its a long walk into filey from campsite unless you walk along beach. There is train station in filey for getting to scarborough york etc. Primrose valley is a lot bigger than blue dolphin with a lot more going on. You could also get coastliner to flamingoland. There is lovely pub just outside flamingoland that serves nice food and have a lookout for special offers on park tickets.

If you into gardening check out cheap gardencentre just up the road from park entrance in Brid direction.

Lots of good/bad pubs and restaurants in Filey - let me know if you need recommendations

There is a Chinese restaurant/takeaway just off site, you can actually walk through the park to get to it, it's very nice from
What I remember. There's also a bus that goes onto site that takes you Filey or Scarborough, again day trips are ran from site to places like flamingoland, Eden camp, lavender farm, York for example.

    I agree if fish and
Chips on the beach is wanted go to winking willys rather than the others.

Thanks for your replies guys, appreciated. The sort of food places that I will be frequenting will be the places that serve kids food as i refer to it. My eldest two are some what keen on the processed variety of foods when we are out and my son doesn't touch anything that may be even slightly healthy
