Bank have cancelled my overdraft

Have you applied for housing benefit since your boyfriend moved out? Would it be possible to move ut to somewhere cheaper, shared house or lodgings perhaps?

I'm with the council there is no way i'll get anything cheaper (its 480pcm). My income before tax is £15,000 so I don't qualify for housing benefit

Do you have two bedrooms?
Would you consider a lodger even in the short term to give the CC a battering?

just the one bedroom. Interestingly the flat below me is private rent and was recently on rightmove for £850pcm.

Just outside Twickenham. Sad thing is £850 is the going rate. So you can imagine i'm quite happy with my rent costs considering. Unfortunatly there is no cheaper areas which would mean I could keep my job. If you flat share round here your looking to pay what I'm paying now.

I was in a 2bed flat share (for 3 of us) almost 10 years ago and that was 325pcm each back then.

As said, open new account with unlinked bank for wages.

They can do this sadly.

If you think you were treated unfairly or pressured in any way. Complain in writing making them an offer to reduce the overdraft by what you can afford.

If they remove it entirely you will get a default on your credit report if not paid back when they ask.

An offer may result in your file being marked with arrangement to pay. So ask for anything that may affect your credit file in writing in case you need proof at some point.

Well I just attempted to open up a current account with hsbc and they declined me.

Can anyone reccomend an account/bank to me?

Ahhhh. Oooh I see. I've had a look and there not too bad. I don't want an overdraft anyway lets not go tempting fate. I work next door so i can get one tomorrow. Hopefully have it all switched by next pay day.

On another note i've booked to get some debt advice on wed. I have to show my incomings outgoings.

I think more than anything the reason I'm upset is that I was begining to pay it all off and i feel like the bank have slapped me back to square one.

one other thing I'm getting lettesr from a debt company (I openedthe first by accident) for someone with almost the same name (different middle initial) I've sent them back saying they don't live here but every few months i get a flurry of them.
