I went to see my Dad today and picked up quite a bit of old post that came there for me. I had two parking fine notices (High view Parking), and two letters from Debt Recovery Plus for said charges saying that they would "pass my file to the creditor's solicitor with recommendation to commence court action against you" if I did not pay full amount (or agree a payment plan) by 01/07/13.

This is first I've heard of the fines. Turns out my car is registered at my Dad's and I forgot to tell DVLA (which I will do now).

There was no court letters. Obviously I am now 13 days past their limit and am really worried that I will get a CCJ !!

I will call them on Monday and pay off most of the fines (261 owed, I can pay £200 Monday) and make an arrangement for the balance - but I am worried it may be too late?

When does the CCJ get put on your credit file?

Can you look at the dates on the letters & envelopes of those first letters, the ones with the pics of your car on? Were they received at your Dad's address within 14 days of the incident? Just thinking they - Highview - may well have sent them too late and you will feel more reassured if we can point out things they have done wrong!

Also complain to Tesco (I assume this was Tesco). Go to the Store with the tickets and letters and some (any recent) receipts to show you are a regular Tesco customer and get them to cancel the fake PCNs as they are upsetting you and putting you and your family off Tesco for good.

Or email a complaint to the CEO of Tesco which worked for this person:

His email addy is on that thread. Go straight to the top, word it politely but angrily and get the stupid threat cancelled.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the responses. I've written to both Highview and Debt Recovery Plus informing them of my new address and accepting no liability for these charges. I feel better for doing that. I've saved almost £300 by posting this on here :)

I hope you got proof of postage from the post office for that
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

You would feel even better if you also email a complaint to the CEO of Tesco and get the thing cancelled.

It wasn't Tesco. I think I'd be identifying myself if I said exactly where it was so I won't.
