My sky box is kaput!!!!

I rang sky and they said its £149 for the 2tb box, but if I re-activate my 2nd multiroom box I can have it for £49 plus £15 installation fee.

I said I didn't need installation so he said well its £15 delivery then???

Is this what everyone else has had to pay or are they trying it on please?

If you are out of minimum term, ask to cancel, get put through to retentions and a much better offer will normally be made (usually used for a free service call).
if not then ebay is your friend.

When mine died I told them I would have to cancel as I could not afford a callout or another box.
I got a new box, installed and upgraded to sky+ all for free.

My Sky HD box died, called Sky to see what the could do, first offer was stupid, £299 plus , said I didn't want to pay anything, they countered free box, but £65 for a visit, said didn't want to pay anything and didn't need a visit, final offer was a new HD box and free visit to fit it...only 'penalty' was a new 12 month minimum term,
I would have cancelled, as I bought the box myself, no Sky subsidy at all, never had a free box out of Sky, and I've been a Sky customer since 1988
If you play hard ball with them you should get a deal

How do you pair the card and box
And what happens if box is still on contract?

Phone Sky to activate the card. If the Digibox is still in contract, they might be able to tell.
