No Internet connection!

Hi - can anyone help. I am getting a sign saying I have no Internet, when quite clearly I have. Then it asks for passwords etc. Is this some sort of virus? What can I do. There is a spelling mistake which makes me think it is dodgy :eek::eek:
See below - this is the sign.
No Internet Connection Your router does not have an active Internet connection.
If your router has previously been working then click here to retry. If this does not work then please contact your Internet Service Provider.
If you have just installed your router then you may need to set it up. Click here to access the router's web configuration pages. You will need to enter you admin password then start the Wizard setup when prompted.

It would help if you told us a) who your provider is and b) what sort of router do you have? What do you mean by a 'sign'? Take a screenshot and post it.
How do you know you still have an internet connection?
More info required. No free lunch, and no free laptop

See my first post - I have copied the sign.
I know I have internet access as I am on here - I can bypass the sign and google the page I want. My laptop is telling me I have internet access.
My provider is Primus broadband. I have telephone with them too. I have run a spyware/malware check and it says everything is fine.
So when I use Mozilla firefox the sign comes up.0 -
Yes but how is 'the sign' displayed? Is it a pop up?No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hi macman - thanks for getting back to me.
I switch my laptop on and click Mozilla firefox.Instead of my usual home page (which incidentally is Quidco) the sign comes up (as above).
I then go to my favourites or google search and type MSE. As you can see of course I have the internet. Thanks in anticipation.0
