This announcement doesn't name the new network. but it's TT, so hardly going to be "better than ever".
Though they say they will double download limit and increase speed???

LOL. If they are going over to talktalk I'm surprised they are charging as much for their BB as they are - £12.80/mth for unlimited BB with a 12 month min commitment and no introductory offer?? Silly. Speaking as one who uses a supplier who uses/has used talktalk in the past (and charges £6.99/mth for unlimited BB!) their BB service is actually very good, it's just their CS that is abysmal so no problem if your supplier uses their own CS.
PS BIG LOL at the typo in the thread title. :rotfl:0 -
I read somewhere that Capitia was taking over customer services so will be as bad as Talk Talk:(0

You read it right!

The UK's Post Office has dropped BT as the network services provider for its home phone and broadband services. Instead, it has signed a five-year contract with IT services provider Fujistu, which will act as service integrator to a number of subcontractors. TalkTalk will provide the network infrastructure itself; Capita will provide customer services, and specialist services provider MDS will support customer billing.

It is. But I'm not sure if there is a time limit set for such actions?0

'Better than ever'??
Their new BB fair use policy states should you exceed 100gb download/uploads (2 figures combined) in any month your speed may be restricted until the end of that month. This is different to the one they have in place now that has the same threshold but you get quite a few chances to modify your usage before any speed restrictions are imposed.
With the prevalent use of services like netflix and Sky Go 100gb is by no means a ridiculous amount of monthly usage anymore. For instance, netflix best quality (not HD!) uses 1gb per hour. Watch Breaking Bad in full in one month (we've done it ourselves!) and that's getting on for 50gb right there!0 -

Best of all worlds, so when there is a problem it will be passed from pillar to post waiting for an answer.0 -
If it is as bad as the letters they deliver then god help us.
Anything you download will go to someone else computer after being delayed for a day or two
Then they will ask you to pay extra for it as the size was too big :jOwing on CC £00.00 :j

This is news to me. I'm currently using o2 as my bb though still on contract.
Does this means my bb will mysteriously fail come Sept since it's no longer on a BT line?0 -
They can't switch everyone to the TalkTalk LLU system -only roughly half of the exchanges in the UK are unbundled by TalkTalk!!:)
A significant number of exchanges are full Market 1 -with only BT Wholesale available ~ 3000 at last count.0
