Crazy house buying and selling dreams

I seriously and genuinely suggest you apologise for that.
...or did you not realise that the word "hallucinations" was a figure of speech...?0 -
God, I'm having these dreams too now and we're not even planning to move having only bought this house two years ago and being part-way through a five year restoration project
Early this morning I woke from a really vivid dream where my dad was working on a house that DH and I had been renting and were now in the process of buying. For some reason we'd been allowed to start work on this crumbling ruin of a house - element of reality there as our current house was/is a crumbling ruin - and my dad (IRL a retired engineer, not a builder, but very hands-on in his younger years and inclined to advise us on past project houses in his spare time) was removing unnecessary timbers from the inside of the windows.
Around the house a new estate had been built - again reflecting a situation that actually happened, when we almost bought a farmhouse where the adjoining land ad been sold off to a developer who proceeded to build an estate of *boxes* around it. Whilst I was inside talking to my dad, a car drove up and a guy in his 20s got our accompanied by his parents. They wandered in and proceeded to discuss the house and his plans for it. They discussed buying it for £25k - an absurdly low figure and one about a tenth of what DH and I were planning to pay.
When they left the parents disappeared and I was left alone with the guy who was dismayed when I told him we were already in the process of buying the house, saying he was a local blacksmith and this wreck of a house was his only chance to get on the property market in his home village where his family had lived for generations. For reasons unknown to me, he began flirting with me (I'm in my 40s so a bit older, lol!) and we got into his car where he kissed meNext thing, a Winnebago drove past with his family inside - they were looking daggers at us sitting together in his car outside the house.
I'm not sure what happened next, but I later returned to the house which was now surrounded by hilly gardens instead of an estate (we currently live on a hill) and found a huge orange flowered Azalea bush planted where before there had been bare ground. I went over to investigate and found a business card stuck in the soil next to the plant with the name of the young blacksmith and a message saying he wanted us to meet for a date as he had plans for us to buy the house together......at that point DH woke me up
I blame the amazingly hot weather and spending way too much time on here talking about houses, but I am hoping to return to this dream tonight if I can for the next instalment :rotfl:Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

I had a nightmare that i had to wait 7 weeks for our buyers survey to be carried out whilst i still haven't recieved any news on when the suvey on our purchase will be completed. I then woke up with the realisation that it was not a nightmare but the the horrible truth....0

Oh phoebe1989seb please don't forget to let us know the next installment! It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Was moving house several years ago and still remember a very weird vivid dream.
I dreamt I viewed a house where some of the doorways were so narrow with long thin corridors after and you had to literally squeeze through them.
In one wider section, there was this massive industrial style lift that chugged up and down. People were using it!
In the back of a huge cupboard, me and my sister and a couple of friends found an old train track with one of those carts with the up and down lever thingy to make you move (Scooby Doo style, or like from Raiders of the Lost Ark or something). We see-sawed it up the track (a mile long) and came out at this industrial park and I remember thinking how that was handy! Could pick things and use the cart to get home. Started doing a bit of shopping (as you do), then panicked we'd been gone too long and had to go back and couldn't find the track.
When we did eventually make our way back (must have been by teleporting cos that bit's sketchy), we had to cross this outdoor square (part of the house) filled with all these Chinese people doing their laundry. Stuff hanging from washing lines (and every hook, pillar, etc imaginable) so it was all in your face as you tried to make your way through.
Bit hazy after that lol! Think I woke up.
Oh the joys of househunting...

I feel quite ill with it all, the excitment of moving house has long gone. I just want my life back. Oh well monday tomorrow lets see what this week brings not feeling hopeful of a exchange this week.

Thanks for this thread (although sympathies for the dreams, especially having to leave your cats), it's convinced me that I really don't want to move!0
