The chickens I am looking after gave me another 6 eggs yesterday :T and I am picking pounds of strawberries and raspberries every day(sorry Tru and Sistercas)
Tonight we are off to the mini festival in a neighbouring village with a picnic there is a bar there but you can take your own drinkies, should be fun.

Ok have good days all xx0 -
good morning everyone its very warm here already and the sun is blazing down.I have been sorting bits out for the sitting room and have been taking stuff upstairs to put away and bring very little stuff back down to go back into the sitting room. Now its all clean and bright I don't think I really want to clutter it up with knickknacks anymore. They seem to be dust catchers anyway.I have both of my DDs coming tomorrow morning as its 10 years since we lost their Dad so they are both coming for coffee and a catch-up.Neither have seen the new look room so it will be a suprise as it looks nothing like it did before.
My son-in-law Ashley's birthday today and I'm hoping that they will go out for a meal tonight on their own as normally they both seem to rush around after the two children at weekends ,even though their kids are 22 &19 with Bf & Gf attached.
I shall spend today just pottering around and staying out of the sun, as I love it. but it doesn't like me.I get very hot and very red and uncomfortable so a nice long cold glass of somthing this afternoon and sitting with my feet up having a read sounds very nice.I still have managed to stay away from the shops although the veg and fruit is almost finished now I may use the last of the veg to make a curry later for the freezer.I will have to go shopping for fresh stuff on Monday but I don't mind as I haven't broken into my July food purse yet so more than enough to play with.
Hope everyone has a great day what ever you are doing.
Cheers chums

Good morning everyone
Another scorcher here but I have run out of things to wash! Being off yesterday was a real boost as I got loads of stuff done and now feel like I can enjoy my weekend.
Planning on taking GDD for a walk on the beach later and then getting some cheap shopping for her and DD. DD is really struggling at the moment as her summer claim for JSA is already 2 weeks behind and she has still not been given a date for when she will receive any money. She says she is fine but I know I can fill her freezer for around £20 and want to help her out.
DH's marking is completely finished and he managed to do 30% more than his allocation. Just need to do some negotiation on the price of the car insurance now as finished getting quotes last night and think we can save approximately £100.
Molly - am glad to hear you have the date which I know you have been waiting for a very long time. Every time I get a hospital admission appointment, it's a combination of thank goodness the wait is over and total fear at the thought of it, so totally understand how you feel.
Time for some brekkie so will leave with usual well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Morning all,
Hubby and I are off to the Manchester Festival this afternoon. First I will do the usual Saturday clean and need to pop to Mr T for the bits I couldn't get in Aldi.
I'm another one who has piles of strawberries sorry:o we've had strawberries and ice cream Eton mess and today I'm making strawberry tart, I don't want to waste any:p
Ds3 is making his gf a meal while we are out, Thai green curry with chicken thighs and Eton mess, that way it doesn't cost much. He is his mothers son lol:D
Have a lovely sunny Saturday xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all!
Another hot day everywhere! Have salad coming out of my ears, so tonight I will take my brother out for a curry, too hot to make one and there is a great world buffet place nearby at £10 a head, or we may go further afield if we can bear being in the car for longer!
Nothing planned for the day, will potter about and maybe catch some sun, although I still have nothing for DS's birthday next Saturday!
Molly, great news you have a date at long last!
Have a great day all, stay safe and cool.RIP Iain

Good morning all,
A beautiful day here.
Have been shopping. Pulled everything out of the food cupboard, wiped it out and put everything back in some sort of order.
No real plans today. Going to take dd for a longer walk shortly before it gets too hot. She is still a bit tender but certainly on the mend. Third load of washing is on the line. I hoovered through last night as hubby is in bed as he has work tonight.
Tea tonight is spag bol/lasagne with garlic bread.
BB, hope your mri goes ok.
I hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Morning all.
This weekend will be spent in and around the house, as we have nothing much planned.
So far I have 19 things that will sell on eBay between now and Monday, plus a few more with watchers, so I'll be packing the parcels, and also doing some more listing, as I really want to get my friend's things sold before I wind down the ebay operations before my holiday.
Our strawberries are doing really well now -we'll be having strawberries and nice cream for dessert at lunch time.
Essexgirl, enjoy Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I was hoping to see that next month, but we left it too late to book, and the decent seats had gone. I'll probably try and book for next year, as I expect the run will be extended.
Have a good day everyone.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Hi all,
Not been around for a while. Have been uber-busy with the new extension to the school buildings. Thankfully almost completed now ready for the grand opening in Sept.
It is a lovely warm sunny morning in Surrey. been out already to the local farm supply shop to get supplies for the chickens. Will be letting them out into the garden shortly whilst i revamp their run. (do more DIY and cleaning for them than i do in the house!
DD is at a friend for a sleep over tonight. So I am off to the local "party in the park" this afternoon, then off for a few evening drinks with DW.
best wishes to all, enjoy the warm weather, but be careful in that sun.
take care.
Sy..Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

Hi all,
Went out with friends last night, got in about 1am, was so nice to sit outside and just chat, had a wonderful meal, and a tad too much wine, OH paid as he has just secured a big contract.:D
Was up early this morning, washing all done and hung out, shopping done and put away - OH was working this morning and is now snoring on the sofa, i,m off to clean the kitchen and bathroom then will chill in the garden for a while, before doing the ironing this evening.
Spent £50 between l&dls and sainsbobs, did include a bit of booze and cat food, 'real food' spend £30, so not too bad. Have added the £50 to my total though.
I,ve lost Hester too - hope your okay and its just a technical hitch x
Have a fab day all xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Good afternoon everyone :j
I had a later start to the day today and finally got a lie-in. It was lovely too lol. Even better, hubby takes over the cooking on the weekend and he made a very healthy cooked breakfast so I am feeling full and happy!!:D
Our BBQ was lovely yesterday but it was far too hot for me to sit in the garden so I stayed indoors with my lovely grandson. I think we are just having sandwiches or toasties for tea so that's nice and easy.
DD13 and DD12 have caught the bus to Barnstaple to spend their allowances and hubby is taking DD10 and our collie for a long walk this afternoon. I think I'm going to be on my own again for a bit unless my eldest pops in....which is very likely. :rotfl:
I've put some washing out this morning so it will dry before people start lighting BBQs. We are on an estate surrounded by houses and it can get a bit 'lively' shall we say, especially when the weather is good and everyone is in their gardens.
The evil kittens are desperate to go outside but they are still little babies and extremely nickable so I'm going to keep them in until they have been spayed, but this doesn't stop them making a dash for the door every time someone comes in or out.
Anyway, that's enough waffling from me, hope everyone is able to enjoy the weather and as always gentle hugs for all who would like one.
Cheers m'dears x0
