    Insurance isn't too high, only put one our fault claim through the insurance which was just over 3 years ago then am currently going through the second none fault claim. Most of the other incidents were more minor scrapes, which didn't bother going through insurance for.

    It ain't the car....
    Size MIGHT have an impact and quality of tyres would certainly have an impact (alot of people have been going cheap in the last 5 years).

    But also having recently spoken to a traffic cop friend of mine, he's told me himself that the standards of driving in this country have gone right down hill in the last 5-7 years.... But officially they're not allowed to say this, or show this in the statistics, because the powers that be only want speeding offences and serious injuries to be taken into account.

    You only have to watch people parking at the supermarket on a Saturday, to see how A LOT of people lack the basic skills in car control. Worse because so many believe (ignorantly) that being a good driver is about not exceeding speed limits.

    It's no wonder you've been caught up in accidents over the last 5 years, I bet everyone on this forum would say they've had more accidents or near misses in that period..... I certainly have, hell that's why I run with a HD video camera stuck to the windscreen, far too many idiots about.

    If your car has been involved in seven dings, unless he is Stevie Wonder, I doubt if he will need to ask.

    :rotfl::rotfl: very good point!

    Am feeling very stressed and anxious waiting to find out what is happening about the car, knowing we are going to probably end up worse off financially, but this just made me laugh. Thank you.

    I suppose I just have to get on with the position I'm in now and not stress about it too much.
