More problems. I check my 'bill' online. Not entirely sure what's going on, but bill is for £47.
I call up and enquire, apparently I am on the wrong tariff. Should be 200 mins, 500 txts, stop the clock, 6 months half price line rental and 10% line rental discount. but only on 75 mins which is why bill is so expensive. I have order reference and email stating tariff in my inbox, so they can’t debate it. The problem is stop the clock, the Vodafone website clearly states:
“You can get Vodafone Stop The Clock as a free extra with any new price plan.”
Being the psycho that I am, prior to signing up to contract, I did email Vodafone to ensure my package did include stop the clock.
“If you want to purchase a Nokai N95, on a £13.50 (For 6 months) then £27 for the remaining 12 month contract through our online service and want to add Stop The Clock service free of charge, please contact us on 08700 770020 (Any day between 8:00 and 20:00).”
Ok, I did assume it would be included without me calling that number, probably a little silly of me. Anyway, on the phone to someone at the Vodafone e-care centre, he can put the tarff right, but is ‘unable’ to add the stop the clock unless I lose my 10% line rental discount.that would involve me paying £45 over the 18 months for ‘free’ stop the clock. Obviously I refuse. He cannot do anything for me, so offers to let me speak to a supervisor. I agree, we argue about the ‘free’ stop the clock again. Supervisors claims he is also unable to add the stop the clock without losing my 10% line rental discount. I get extremely argumentative and aggressive and say I want to cancel my contract, supervisor claims that it is not possible as I am outside 14 days cooling off period. Do the same rules apply when you are misold a product? In total, on the phone for over 40 mins, unfortunately have to hang up as my class turn up for their lesson.
I call Vodafone again after lunch, apparently supervisor is busy, he will call me back in 15 mins. 30 mins later, still no call. I call Vodafone, apparently supervisor was just about to call me, what a coincidence!!! Anyway, he seems to think he can now give me stop the clock and everything I agreed to when I signed the contract, result?? Or just what they should have given me in the first place!!
So bill now needs to be recalculated. Will definitely be completed by Friday 20th July according to supervisor. Being anal, I call up Vodafone again, just to make sure tariff is correct. Apparently I am only on 100 texts, but nice lady offers to change it to 500 for me. Which is what I originally agreed to when I signed contract
Even though it is yet to be Friday 20th, I call Vodafone today (Thurs 19th) to enquire about bill. It has been recalculated and they are crediting me with £16. maths time.
Wrong bill = £47
Bill credit = £16.
Unrelated good will gesture credit = £20
£47 – 16 = £31
So new bill is £31?? Even though I have not gone over on my minutes or texts. I am aware that I logged into WAP several times by mistake and I sent some txt messages to bf while he was in Africa at 35p a pop.
Man on the phone tries telling me that £31 – 20 is only £11 for this month, which does not make sense to me as that £20 goodwill gesture does not effect how much bill should be. am i being thick?
thank u for listening to me rant :j so much better now that is off my chest
ok, i've just called up vodafone several times, spoke to someone called john who now believes that i am totally psychotic and penny pinching. i made a mistake with the whole line rental as i have to pay one month in advance which is ok. but i am still about £7 down due to VAT. they applied VAT to the mistakes, but only credited me £16 which does not include any VAT. and the line rental is a little messy. apparently they r billing me from the 11th june even tho number didn't port over until 15th and i had no phone until 19th june.
my question is, do i keep calling vodafone to try and sort the math or do i let the £7 go?0 -

I am really quite concerned about using Vodafone at the moment following nearly three months of incorrect bills and now witnessing my partner going through the same thing. For me it started with a supposed upgrade ! I was basically offered a deal my VF customer services and then one my next bill none of the features had been added and they had no recollection of the offers ! It has taken three months of phoning and emailing to get money back and curiously every time it was as easy as saying the bill is wrong ! My partner has just upgraded and received a £76-00 bill because it is apparently on a 'pro-rata' basis. She was told that as she went over her minutes for three days she had been charged £33-00 When Vodafone was challenged about this they instantly credited her account without question ! HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE PAYING THE WRONG AMOUNT ?0

yes, indeed. my sis and her bf are both with vodafone. they quite frequently get wrong bills and random things going wrong. i reckon they just make up the bills. the majority of people don't check so they can get away with it. big conspiracy :eek:0
