It is my imagination, or does this e-mail make no sense at all?

'Ms. Lee, the bundles only included with extra text pack you purchase you can use it for text messages.' is my particular favourite!

Or have I missed the point all together in the excitement of being so picky...?

Send it to a big wig and suggest they check letters that come out for grammar- might get a few quid off your next bill for drawing attention to this!

I had an equally baffling email reply from a first great western trains once, when i complained about their ridiculously slow service one weekend, and cancellation of all their fast services from London! (if I wanted slow, i would have take the oh so cheap bus service, which even has air con and guarentees you a seat, but as time was of the essence...)

I think the whole email was composed with mix 'n' match sentences from a folder they were given, with horrendous made up english inbetween! No refund, no apology, no nothing. just gobbledygook!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

As a hard up student I once worked in a customer services office where we would type out letters to reply to queries and complaints by inputting codes. You could type a whole letter using 5 or 6 codes:

001 Thank you for contacting us regarding your Policy.

344 We are sorry to hear that your Policy was mislaid or lost in the Post.

455 060607 The original Policy was despatched to you on the 6th June 2007.

743 We have arranged for a duplicate to be despatched to you by first class post.

900 If you have any further queries then please do not hesitate to contact us.

    919 Yours sincerely,

Each code would bring up a line or paragraph of text and it was easy to input the wrong code and create gobbledegook.

as a vodaphone customer I can say the customer service has really gone down hill

every bill I have had over the last has been incorrect an although when I email em I do get refunded & a little more it dosent cover the time I have to take to check the bill

youe email is probably due to a suggested email the staff are given to copy & paste. Sadly alot of the callcentre staff are from other countries & sometimes their english is very poor

as soon as my contracts up Im off to another firm as vodaphone are not great for value these days

i don't like complaining, but vodafone has seriously annoyed me AGAIN!
even tho they sent me that gibberish reply, i decided to subscribe to them anyway  stupid me!

right, well i got a new nokia n95 on contract with vodafone on 5th june. it all went thru fine and they said they would do a credit check, which i knew would be fine. on the 8th June when i checked my mail there were 2 emails from vodafone. one stating the porting of my number was unsuccessful and my order was cancelled. the other stating the porting of my number had been successful

"Your request to transfer your existing mobile number to Vodafone has
been successful and the PAC details provided have been validated.
Your port date onto the Vodafone Network is 15 Jun 2007"

slightly confused but thought it'd all be fine. so i've been eagerly waiting for my phone every day this week. still no show yesterday, so i call up vodafone and explained the whole situation. unless i receieved phone by friday, i would be left with no phone :o don't think the customer service person understood my problem to be honest. she told me to call parcelline to check the status of my delivery. unfortunately didnt have timem, so left it.

ok, today. still no phone. current sim card is now inactive so unable to make any calls! i use my landladys landline and call vodafone, get passed around and left on hold. after 32 minutes on phone we have established phone was never sent out, as order was infact cancelled after 1st email stating number could not port. after 2nd email, phone was not reoordered. phone will not reach me for sat, but will now be mon or tues, and it will be sent to my work address  also, she seems to think number is porting on 19th June!
am offered £20 compensation, which is crap seeing as i have no phone, and would've spent more if i'd have called their 0870 numbers. thank you vodafone. your service has not disappointed me, it's been crap.
