BTL mortgage - not in employment

Hi,
Looking for some guidance here. My situation is that myself and my partner fully own 1 property outright, never had a mortgage before.
Both myself and my partner are currently not in employment and not looking for work either (nor claiming benefits), but I am thinking is it possible to get a BTL mortgage on another property, and use my home as equity against it?
Also, in the situation where I would like to buy a bigger house and move into that (covering the difference with cash) is it possible to obtain a BTL mortgage on my existing property and rent that out, and with the cash from that combined with my savings, purchase the more expensive house?
Thanks

you wont get a mortgage without income .To release equity from you house you need a mortgage"Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0
