Ah! I see your point, so lots of short journeys, the condensation happens, builds up in the back box (which is origional apparently), then you get the dripping. I think rather like an older person, my Father doesn't tend to drive like a boy racer. So must borrow it from him for a blast! You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0

Your Dad should sell the car immediately. It will obviously cost more than it is worth to fix.0

And just to deal with the head gasket. Take the cover off the rocker box or whatever it is called these days and look at the oil. If there is a white frothy residue, there is water in the oil. If it is bad, you can see it on the dipstick too.
You can usually do that by just removing the oil filler cap.0 -
To the troll that called me Stupid, and the others, I don't 'get' the Sparticus comment, so maybe I am stupid, not as much as you because you state its clearly a HG fault, I know nothing about cars, and not fit to be on the road.
I don't recall anyone calling you "stupid", and I only said that 90% of the UK are stupid, which is entirely different.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

A more appropriate response might have been.....''if the cap fits....?''No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
I thought I stated origionally that there was NO head gasket fail. No emulsification, no loss of oil or water.
So why quote me, selectively, to point out an issue that has been resolved?
Only excess water from the tailpipe. That has been explained. Many thanks.0 -

Not necessarily, sometimes it's caused by short journeys just the same as water in the exhaust. Someones been watching Wheeler Dealers!!0 -

I would agree that short journeys might cause condensation via crankcase breathing and hence froth. But that is probably more for trips to the papershop in your slippersYou might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
WHY DO PEOPLE RESPOND WHEN THE ANSWER IS GIVEN? CAN THEY NOT READ?????
NOT CAUSED BY SHORT JOURNEYS ON HOT DAYS. NO OIL EMULSIFICATION. Lern to reed be4 posteng. Jeez!
Before you post, read the information supplied!0 -
Yes its caused by short journeys, No matter how hot the weather.
Well i guess if the air temperature reached in excess of 100°C it would clear the water.
Unless the engine gets so hot and heats the whole exhaust to over 100°C also then it wont clear the water.
Touch the tailpipe after a short journey. Its not that hot.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
