I've tried re-installing the modem etc but still not working so I will just buy a new Dell PC to avoid the hassle!
Thanks for your help anyway!0 -
A simple solution would be to connect through an Ethernet lead to a router. Does your PC have a network card? - if so, all you'll need is an ADSL modem/router, cheaper than buying a new PC.0

As cledor says a router will probably solve your problem, and is cheaper than a new pc, also it will provide firewall/nat protection, it's not a good idea to run a W2k PC on the internet without any sort of firewall.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
