MET Parking Services (8th Letter) Getting worried

hi there im new here but this website is great!

back in march i spent too long in the mcdonalds by gatwick airport with some friends i dont see often, we all stayed the same amount of time not knowing there was a time limit! however i am the only one that got a letter from MET parking services and once googling it, i came here and was told to file it!

however! and a big however! im now still recieving these letters and am on about 8 of them, and the last one i got today saying last chance before its given to the solicitors... just worried that maybe i now should take action...

Last chance before they give up more like.

Typical private car park ticket scam.

Spend a couple of hours in the sub forum here about Parking Fines. Should open your eyes a bit.

That McDonalds is great isn't it? Must be 50 taxis in there at any time of day with about 90% of the cars there not actually using McD (apart from a McPee of course)

i had about 15 letters , then they offered to half the amount if paid asap.
Then they just gave up and havnt had a letter in 6 months. put all them in the BIN ASAP.
  • thanks for the reassurance, was just starting to get worried, and yes they have offered me to pay 120 as opposed to 150, just said about solicitors and im sure mos people would raise an eye brow no matter what theyve read about the subject!

    thanks again!

The "reduced payment" offer is pretty much a last gasp before they give-up. So stand firm! :)

The parking fine you got is not legally enforceable.

Plus has nothing whatsoever to do with the police.

Just bin it and chill out.

This makes no sense and has nothing to do with MET Parking - a completely private concern.
