  • Good Evening :hello:

    I totally forgot that England are playing football this evening, and kick-off is like in 10 minutes! I also forgot, when writing out the meal planner, that I had found a Silvena Rowe recipe for 'Moldavian Aubergine Mousakka' that I was going to make veggie and make for this evening - doh! The pizza and HM chips that I made instead are finishing off cooking as I write. Doh, am so stoopid! :o. If there is a sliver of light left at 8.00pm, I'll try and snag a photo.

    Today, has, however, gone well. I have been gifted more home grown and homemade from homegrown, produce - people are so kind.

    Spending today has been minimal - and to list, although I have bought a bag of (6 pack) crisps from Ald* to try - verdict 'ok' for 85p - so 14p a bag. That was not on the list, but I'm trying to find best value for holiday lunch bags :D

    I have written an 'encouraging note' to the family member who has moved to distant shores. I will post it tomorrow and hope that it helps them to feel we are still thinking of them :D

    Right, today I am grateful for;

    donations - I'm easily pleased by a bag of veg, others prefer cash :D

    conversation - I've had some nice conversations today, one of which may yet yield a 'result' in resolving an 'issue' for us. Fingers crossed :D

    Rain - I got soaked today. But the gardens and countryside need the rain, so I welcome it :D

    Thank you for popping by, reading and commenting. Sorry that tonight's 'update' is not more comprehensive, but I've a footy team to shout at :D

    See y'all later.

    Ay up - this thread is more interesting that the MoTD coverage (oops, wrong channel :rotfl:)

    I am sorry Scotland lost their game against Belgium. When Scotland played against England in a friendly earlier in the summer, they were brilliant - much better than the England team.

    Anyway Beanie, we'll be a hooting and a shouting all over again on Tuesday night, as England take on Ukraine, in Kiev..........

    Upsidedown Bear - that's a great footy smiley graphic, I love how the goal scorer sticks their tongue out for concentration before blasting the shot :rotfl:

    Thank you all for stopping by, and it's a 'goodnight' from Greying, I'm outta here to Bedfordshire :D
