I am only just starting to make very small overpayments on my mortgage. It might only be ten pounds a month sometimes but I just want to get into the habit.:o We are saving for Pirin the puppy this month and next. My DD has tucked away eighty pounds for bed, crate and equipment. She's 15 and a real saver! :TThis year is the year of breaking even and starting to save at last! :A
Was going through my budget today and it is getting there but it's a long slog and this group keeps me going when I just want to throw in the towel and get a CC.
one thing I'd like to do is start to focus on meal planning as I can't seem to get to grips with it. Don't know why but it discombobulates me totally!!:(
I also watch too much tv and if I slow down on that then I will become more organised with food and money. So tonight I start with a good look at my budget for the month and a shuffle through some recipes books. Wish me luck folks!:rotfl:With family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

You go off, accompanying an estate agent, with his list of 'Lavatorial Commercial Interests' that you are thinking of investing in, and everyone, and I mean everyone, descends on your thread! I mean, how am I supposed to concentrate on monetarizing a bog - which is what I think Tilly and Hopefuljoy were imploring me to do - when y'all are having a party at mine????
Anyway, we've not long got in - from a very full on day.
As DP stated, it started in Australia, and has just got better and better. For the record, we were :j at 6.51am, because Mr Rossi came first - his 6th win on Philip's Island in his 250th motoGP (senior racing) eventMr Crutchlow (GB rider) fell orf..... again
On the last lap. He would have been 2nd
However, Mr Smith (young Bradley) came in a storming 3rd place - you need to know that this is brilliant because.... he is a GB rider :j He is only young :j It is only his........ 2nd?????? (maybe still first, forget......) season in the senior MotoGP race - so basically, da boy done good :j
I will be back (hopefully tomorrow) with more. However, know that I have read everything today. Know that I have considered everything 'said' to me. Know that I am :j at Beanie's OP - because it doesn't matter how modest the payment, my love, it is money that you will never pay interest on, to the bank, again. This is a super good thing
And know that I think 'smilie of the day' is a super good thing too.
And know that I have spent the day, with Dear Beanie's words ringing in my ears - I have spent the day 'feeding my soul'.... for pennies.... an it t'wer brill........
Right, I'm outta here, gotta present summat for us 'tea'..... Oh, Busymumofthreeplusdog - thank you for proving ricotta can be made from acid set cheese - no matter how little, you have proved it can be doneAnd I can heartily recommend using whey in bread-making - gosh, the 'bread rolls' we had today were good - please excuse my 'bragging' (because you know me well enough to know that I don't), but my - whey adds SUCH an extra dimension..........:D
