  • Hey All :hello:

    I'm coming atcha from a *drop in* library 'puter station - YAY for public libraries :j Got BB probs. An intermittent fault has seemingly now got permanent :( Bee Tee are *on the case* so don't expect much out of me before the end of the week :(

    Thank you for your kind comments re: Ms S - and for keeping the thread warm. Mucho appreciated.

    See y'all when I see ya :)

  • Oh no GP!!! I am so sorry ref the fault. Call them and complain! Then complain some more!! I got my own personal person to complain at with a personal phone number and email address and after my third rubbish broken bill I have just emailed her AGAIN! I am complaining, even though I haven't paid anything in 2 months now, and my account is still £70 in credit. Still wrong, still not happy :rotfl:

    LOVE the quote and I am taking a deep breath, sucking it up and BEING HAPPY today regardless. Storms are pretty, rain is cleansing, lightning is the name of my stupidly expensive phone charger cable which I got for a bargainous £1.17. If it ain't broke, I am not going to be the one to tell it is is wrong, and all that is wrong shall be smiled at and drifted past until it disappears over the horizon. I am being PEACEFUL!

    Babs... Well.. the last time I saw her, she looked like someone had stretched her face back so hard she was permanently shocked. DP MUST have meant that she has had so much of her bum pumped into her face she has none of the usual wrinkles associated with a happy and fulfilled life. I've got grey hairs, and laughter lines, all gifted by my beautiful child and the worries and happiness she gives me in spades.

    I can vouch for eating better after reading your thread. Even if I am not making precisely the same things as you (some nights I do!) I am being far more careful with my veg/meat ratio's.

    Hopefuljoy I know nothing of your situation I am afraid, but it sounds tremendously hard. It is a testament to a strong spirit that you are here, talking about it, and mixing in happy parts of your day. I am glad that MSE has helped you, as it helps so many of us & that you are healing! Ref your DD... I did the teen rebellion thing in a similar way to her. Still have my tongue piercing, and some weird ear piercings (aged 28) but got to the world of work where things like a lip piercing/eyebrow piercing are very much frowned upon but they couldn't care less on my ears. I've got my tragus and daith (genuine parts of your ear!) pierced both sides, and a few dotted elsewhere. Would love more but it is an expensive habit and I ought to grow up sometime. I didn't shave my head ;) I dyed it a rainbow each week!!

    Thanks for the advice on SS's thread GP :) food guru!

  • Hello everyone!! And please come back soon greying! Another day of fun and frolics at school........ nothing absurd to report but will keep you posted. The fourteen year olds were trying to rebel today! I kept them at bay with my ninja powers and unstoppable optimism, plus a couple of detentions! :rotfl:

    Love the description of your piercings Lilt! I'm quite happy with the whole idea, if she still wants them as a reward at the end of her GCSEs that's fine. She hasn't dyed her hair yet but I'm sure that will come! I am very grey being almost 48. By the way I avidly read your diary. You are a fantastic mummy!:A

    I had a battered fish, to reflect my battered haggard self!:o Some salad and mushrooms cooked in tons of garlic tonight. If nothing else I shall breathe them into submission!! :eek:

  • Good Evening :hello:

    I seem to have connection!

    Monday night's dinner;

    038_zpsef1e980c.jpg

    Tomato and courgette (zucchini) pasta from Leanne Brown's 'From Scratch' pg 59. Unfortunately, either I have been banned from linking to the PDF's or Leanne's site isn't letting anyone access the PDF's :( So sorry, no link. I did jazz it up a bit, and included onion and celery in with the courgette and tomato. The pasta is mrM basiks/valoo.

    Pleasantly surprised how nice it was - I was expecting it to taste of very little, but actually, it worked well, and I would make it again.

    Can I post before 'drop out' again......

  • Good Evening version II :hello:

    Dinner last night;

    The chips were actually bought from the local-ish chipper that has been taken over and produces *OK* chips, but what I wanted to show you was the spicy man-approved black bean burgers - is it just me, or could they pass for meat? (perhaps at first glance) and the chip shop curry sauce that was homemade, from the Hairy Bikers curry book - unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have been picked up by bloggers, so no link to the recipe :( but it was a close match - and a fraction of the price to make as compared to the tiny tubs you buy in the chipper.
