A friend of mine had a similar issue when changing phones and Orange sent him a new micro sim card that was in a full sized sim surround.
On his old phone he ensured all contact details were stored on the phone then inserted the new sim card (in its surround) into that phone and copied the contacts onto the sim.
He then removed the new sim card, broke it out of the larger card surround leaving just the micro sim which he then put into his new phone. he then copied the contacts from the micro sim into the phone memory.
If you didn't get a micro sim in a larger surround then this won't work!
Option 2 is to cut down the original sim to micro sim size. Some shops will do this for you or if you are brave just use the micro sim you have as a template and use a sharp knife.0 -
You could also back your contacts up to google or similar and then sync them to your new phone.0

Are you sure they are not stored?
Check the phonebook select show phone and SIM.
You can save numbers to the phone or the sim or both. Options to only display them like that also.
I keep forgetting where i save them to also. Some are on the SIM and some are on the phone. A couple are duplicated also.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
If both sims and phones are working you might be able to download HTC transfer tool from Google Store to your Galaxy Ace and transfer everything across automatically, I think it depends on which android software your Galaxy is on .0
