95% of sites are basicly trying to sell you something...so googling them espically when it invovles putting your money somewhere are going to be biased. Thats why I prefer real advice then blogs etc trying to sell products.People don't know what they want until you show them.0

Then you're looking at the wrong sites. The place to get information on a fund (or any other investment product) is from the fund provider's web-site - certainly not from a fund supermarket or similar. No cost involved in this. Once you have that information then you will be in a better position to understand why others hold the opinions that they do - whether or not they agree with your own. Plus, their (our) opinion could be based upon faulty information, and so could be wrong. But if you already have some of that information then you will be in a better position to spot this.Living for tomorrow might mean that you survive the day after.
It is always different this time. The only thing that is the same is the outcome.
Portfolios are like personalities - one that is balanced is usually preferable.

The LifeStrategy funds from Vanguard are here - https://www.vanguard.co.uk/uk/mvc/investments/mutualfunds#Balanced
These are very good if you want to get the market return, they are available in many guises of cautious, balanced, growth etc. Some companies do a similar thing usually called Target Return or similar, these aim to move your money over time away from equities as you get older, in effect turning a growth fund into a cautious one (roughly speaking)
For your £2k these are not suitable as I doubt they will give you the racing heartbeat as you watch your money grow or fall quickly :-)

Hi 100saving,
Funny i just posted a new thread on this then saw yours. Needless to say don't use them. I was unfortunate in that I started with them when the fee's were competitive. Now they have totally changed and i'm stuck because of transfer fee's.
My thread is entitled:
the share center review - the worst share dealing service online?
All the best with your saving, I know how hard it is.0
