I think the cheapest these have ever been was about £17 from Tesco in clearance, before Karcher then started marketing them. (that was a few years ago)0 -

Try varying the angle of the wiper on the window slightly.
Do not use too much force against the window pane.
Perhaps try cleaning the blades with vinegar? Add a little lubricant (e.g washing up liquid) to the water used for cleaning
With a little practise & perseverance, you should soon be able to obtain a perfect, streak free result0 -
Agree with Wywth,
Also don`t do them in sunshine.
Try to let it glide down the window with no pressure and tilt at a slight angle from the wrist upwards.0 -
just ordered mine. Thanks OP! And thanks for all the recommendations from others0

Perhaps not the time or place to discuss it, but IMHO items like this are why our houses end up full of crap and our pockets are empty... because clever marketing and product design people come up with ideas for "how did we ever live without it" products like this.
Do we really need a mini aqua-vacuum to clean our windows? Whats wrong with a good old bit of newspaper?
The cost of said newspapers would easy amount to more than a cost of this vac. I, like most on here, use this daily. And ditched the sprays, clothes, potions that I did try before to get spotless results. The vac is the only, easy way that just works!0 -
I must be doing something wrong then because it always leaves streaks, especially on large windows it leaves streak lines down the window. I use the recommended cleaner (that came with it) as well but still get the streaks.
Not overly impressed with it myself.
You need to store standing up. If you lay it down you could damage the blade. Or you might have residue on the blade.
Wipe the blade, simply with a slightly damp cloth after every window, and once you are done the blade should last ages.
You can get replacement blades very easily too!
Ps I just use water! No detergent is needed at all...0
