Might not realise how much streaming uses in HD if they are used to buffering Vodafail and it defaults to low quality ;)

True, perhaps I'm naive in believing a person would be able to test the data ability without deciding to download movies.

    I suppose I'm not Kevin Bacon ;).

moaned at Tesco and the 3G has worked today. Tesco CS aren't bad actually.
Could it be the phone or is it def the network do you think?
I have a 3 SIM ordered (free one) and will try that. No movies, just nice to be able to check news, what time's the next bus etc. cheers.

o2 and resellers (Tisco/GiffGuff etc...)have to provision the account/sim for 3G as 3G was just a software upgrade at the customer service end bolted into the 2G, and hardware at the base stations.

3's 3G software will have 2G as a option to ALLOW roaming not a software upgrade as it was set up as a 3G only network software and hardware from customer services to base stations.

Provisioning of sim card/accounts is terrible in the UK, most countries sales staff in any store can do it, in UK apparently you need to have a degree and work for a third party 'technical support' subcontractor in a call centre - its checking a few boxes and applying a few codes on a computer screen, play doh!

Don't forget to top up using the phone browser or a computer, that way you can top up £5 and get the 150MB of free data.
