Reaching end of minimum contract period - but on which date?
My 12 month contract with Orange is coming up to the commencement of the 12th month in the next week or so and I shall be terminating it.
I've been onto my online account to ascertain which date applies and have found that although my statement date (and allowance refresh date) is 22nd of the month, my contract actually started on the 17th August.
My first statement shows an adjustment for the few extra days (which is quite normal) but which date do they consider to be the end of the minimum term, the 17th or the 22nd?
Alternatively, do I just request my PAC on, say, 15th July to use in mid August and forget about the few lost days.
Many thanks for any advice.

So on the 18th you can inform of request to cancel.0

if your planning to move away your number, i would use the PAC code near the end0

Always use a PAC, means TERMINATION has happened and no errors can appear down the line "you didn't cancel", hard to have proof of that call down the line if the account is closed and no access to previous bills...that can happen upto 6 years later whilst creditors chase 'debts'.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe

The correct last day would be 16th - but all networks usually try to force people to pay for the 17th (i.e. an extra day). I never pay that but it's generally a big fight. You can give notice to end on the chosen day any time within the last 60 days - the networks haven't attempted to force me to wait until the last 30 days in recent times - though they used to. Most networks nowadays only charge on the preceding bill up to the termation date (so you can check that they have arranged to terminate the contract), though some also confirm with a letter (usually as an excuse to try to get you to stay).0
