Hey, what can I say - we are classy Piglets!! :p (I used to save a special "coffee pot" full of hot water for the final rinse - it takes away the goose bumps!:rotfl:).

Silkglade - keep going, babe, you will get there (actually, our first hoover was one that Mr P's parents had discarded, having inherited it from Granny P - it had been in their garage for years, and I think it kicked up more dust than it picked up, but we still used it until we could afford to replace it!);).

Definitely splash out on that big bottle of booze when you get to that special point - being debt free will be so worth celebrating!!!:T

Hiya - do you know what apr you pay on the car insurance to have it monthly? What will your interest rate go up to on the credit card? It's probably only going to make a small difference overall if you are going to pay everything off within a couple of months anyway, so what will motivate you more?

If you do pay the insurances in full, don't forget to start putting money aside to pay them in full again next year - it's easy to forget this (I've done it lol!) and then you end up having to pay monthly again.

I think it your edit makes sense - if you've budgetted monthly for the car insurance then pay off the credit card if you can this month so you avoid getting charged interest.

You've done amazingly well though - looks like an average of £1K paid off each month!

Thanks for that, The credit card is more than the insurance but with tightening our belts even further i think it is achievable.

Yes since I went back to work after having my daughter (went back feb 06) I have done loads of overtime to avarage £1k a month as when I was on maternity leave we were SSSSOOOOO skint all the time and did not know how we got through each month. There are 5 of us now and had to get nappies and baby milk and food on a £38 per week budget. I really don't know how we managed.

    A £38 a week budget for 5 is amazing silkglade. :T

Congratulations as it looks like your debt-free date is even closer, good luck now that this month all goes to plan for you.

well the car insurance is up again in October so to pay it off early i don't think it will make any difference to the interest part!

Mine is more but thats cos mine is not till March next year and so there are alot more payments outstanding, that will be the month after with the house insurance.

By paying off all the insurances we will be saving an extra £75ish a month too which will be really cool

Have talked to hubby and we are in agreement that the car insurance will wait and we WILL be debt free at the end of THIS MONTH - if we tighten the purse strings for the last time then we can pay the last outstanding payment to Tesco cc and then that's it. WWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOO HHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOO - not changing my sig though as don't want to tempt fate - it's gonna be really tough, but we think it's worth it. also means the washing machine is paid for too as it was put on the Tesco CC.

Thanks you guys your all so supportive

Well done silkglade you are a true inspiration.

I hope my debts clear as fast as yours and I can relate cause i'm due to have another baby in 5 weeks. Though 5 children in total is out of the question (Unless the next one is triplets... Ahhhhhhhhhh.

Oh my god - there are not 5 children but 5 of us total, sorry for any confusion.

Our family consists of myself, Hubby, 12year old - 7 year old and 23 month old. That's more than enough even for me. I have 3 wonderful and very happy and well behaved Kids, would not want to upset the balance by risking another one (would probably be a devil child) :rotfl:
