No, I don't think that. I said amongst other things, there are other things. We have a small baby and it is important to us that we have curtains. I hope you can appreciate that.

    .

I know that you said there was more than one thing, but usually when people itemise their problems they miss out the trivial, not the important ones.

If missing curtain rails is the most important, the rest must be really trivial.

This made me LOL. Are the two things connected at all? And if so, how?

A small baby that won't sleep because the room they are in isn't dark isn't actually very trivial. ;)

I do think the OP should just put them up though.

Oh come on, you can "black out" windows without putting up curtain rails.

all curtain rails do is make the solution look tidier, they aren't a pre-requisite to actually solving the problem

If you can't get what you want by saying "Do you know who I am?" you have to resort to saying "I have a small baby" - although it would probably be a more effective threat to say "I have a huge ginourmous baby, the size of KingKong"
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

I personally think that ,obviously if you kick up a big enough fuss and generate a paper trail the landlord may decide to release from your tenancy subject to certain conditions (of their choosing)

I'm a big fan of them because there is some casing around my windows that my screwdriver can't drill a hole through.
