I have never said that all people working in CS were idiots. I just say that they are very common there and I stick to my guns. Probably because my experience of dealing with them is much wider than for an ordinary person as I have accounts with dozens of bookies.

I actually worked a fair bit of my time there as a training coach, and most CSA's are intelligent and articulate. They have to be to learn the systems.

It's when they end up having to deal with an a-hole of a customer that the "can't help, won't help" attitude manifests.

I wonder if that's why you appear to have had attitude from csa's.

It also doesn't help as it appears your are basing your "knowledge" on a totally different industry. What do bookies have to do with mobile phones or mobile networks?

This board alone proves that this is not the case. Or are you saying that it is the system to blame for everything?

Was the OP's friend this sort of customer? Why did she have to ask her friend the questions that the CS adviser was supposed to answer in the first place even without being asked?

This attitude shows up only when they start tallking bu11shit or fobbing me off. And pretty often I have no choice but to suppress it (the attitude) - especially when dealing with bookies that are very poorly regulated and believe to be the law in themselves.

I am not 'basting' anything. I just believe that the frontline CS need very little industry-related training and the same people can work in different 'industries'.
If this is of any importance I also have much more bank accounts than an average person and I do have experience of dealing (successfully) with some idiots in former A&L and in FD. This is despite doing almost everything online and having to contact the CS only on very rare occasions.

The CS staff on the online forums seem to be a step above those who take calls and emails. Trying to get a premium rate bar sorted on Vodafone was a nightmare when numpty after numpty on phone and in email told me it wasn't possible, it didn't exist, even when I pointed them at evidence it did.

Posted on the online forum on the Vodafone website and it was sorted straight away.
