Twitter comps - am I wasting my time?
Comments

Ive won around 100+ comps in 18 months (ranging from a few pounds to a thousand) and not a SINGLE one has been a twitter win, I enter most on here and on competwition and twitalicous, so 200 a week roughly = 3200 entries 0 wins
I find unless youre a blogger or a parent blogger you dont have much chance, i have friends on fb who have won on twitter i notice a few times - but alas they also have blogs!
My tip take 10 minutes each day to do some, no harm.Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0 -
I do agree that it seems to be bloggers that win the best prizes and most frequently ... unfair but true.MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0

I have entered around 1500 twitter comps, 55 followers, dont blog yet I won a samsung s4 last month, so its def down to chance.
Keep doing it, it only takes a second, I find it easier to enter on my mobile.0 -
loving all your comments
I reckon if we all changed our user names to include blogger we might all stand a better chance :hello:"Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing it doesn't go in a fruit salad0 -
I'm fairly new to Twitter competitions, entered around 150 so far, no wins yet but will keep trying.0

I used to win lots on twitter but it has dropped off and bloggers seem to win a lot of them. I can understand this from a company point of view they get a review back.
However this year I have won a large tent and 4sleeping bags worth £500. And at the beginning of the year I won an iPad off twitter so pretty chuffed with these wins all for a couple of seconds retweeting.
I have the messaging thing set up to my phone for DM and mentions which is useful .0 -
Biggest problem is people don't read the rules I have run a competition before on Facebook and on Twitter and the amount of entry's that were incomplete was unbelievable.
People putting fake phone numbers, fake email address, not re tweeting they just copied and pasted starting a new tweet of their own instead or did neither.
Even though it clearly stated that the information was required people try to cheat.0 -

Same on fb aswell,
However every fb comp i enter i also write to the company pm them and make them aware that 'SHADOW PROFILES' are usually fake accounts used by cheats.
So far had nearly 100 'thanks' from companies for pointing this out.
If you cant put a real photo on a fb account then you are hiding something imo and dont deserve to win.Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0 -
Just checked my wems and in the last year or so since March 2012 I've won 208 prizes and 15 of those were Twitter wins.
Odds are bad since it's so easy to enter a twitter comp but also doesn't take much time using a site like Twitaculous.
Good luck x
May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx0 -
I've won 2 Twitter competitions (just follows and RT) so far and 1 Competwition so I'm keeping at them, don't give up!0
