  • We tried to sell our house through Tepilo. Complete disaster from start to finish.

    Photos dreadful.

    Repeatedly messed up viewings.

They once even tried to intimidate us into accepting a viewing even though we repeatedly told them we were on holiday.
'Oh well, they are going to have a look round the outside of your house anyway'

    Complete lack of communication.

In the end we decided to take the house off the market.
The for sale board is still sitting outside our house even after repeated requests to remove it.

I can't even begin to imagine the hassle if we had found a buyer through them.

We sold with House Network who were great from start to finish. Made a massive saving against what a traditional agent would have charged. I liked doing the viewings as nobody knows more about our house than I do.

Great for flats, waste of time for anything expensive.

We used HouseSimple recently and they were great. They outsourced the photos to a local professional photographer, and they came out really good. The online portal was pretty good, albeit a little confusing for some of our buyers (apparently).

The post-sale support wasn't as good - the 'sales progression' team I think just needed to hire more people as they were very very busy, but everyone I spoke to there were helpful overall.
  • EMOOV
Shocking service following the "under offer" emoov gave no customer feedback or care to follow the sale through its been 12 weeks since our "under offer" and emoov just don't care once its got to "under offer". We are going back to a reputable High Street Estate agents "you get what you pay for" No follow on to push the sale through I would advise BEWARE and stay clear of EMOOV
  • Shockingly bad!!
I've been waiting 13 days post valuation and photos to get my property 'live' (online to sell). I'm constantly having to chase emoov to get anything done, so lots of daily phone calls to a useless call centre in London where you talk to an array of numpties that know nothing and can't take down a post-code.
One disgruntled staff member conceded that they were trying to get more staff to answer all their emails. They are woefully understaffed which is the reason little moves with emoov, and many of the staff they employ are hopeless monkeys. It took three attempt and an entire day to get them to send me an email (yes I checked the spam filters) after each customer services rep said they were 'just about to send me the email' .. how bad can you get! its incompetence on a grand scale.
it was then 10 days later that I learned that I needed to send several supporting documents to them, no one forewarned that I would need to send these. Again, without these they refuse to put my property online. I was trying to explain to them not everyone has up to date utility bills as some have paperless contracts, I'm still trying ot sort this out which causes further delay.
Also, the website is highly deceptive, the 'no upfront fees' is a lie as you have to accept a loan for the full fee from a finance company first before emoov will do anything. Whilst no money comes out of your account until completion, you have still paid emoov, and guess what, once paid, their incentive to act on your behalf is that much diminished. Its a brilliant sleight of hand by emoov as you now owe the full fee to a dodgy finance company ....
I'm still waiting to get my property live, and frankly thus far deeply regret going with them. If they are this bad at just getting my property live, I have no confidence that they can accomplish a sale for me. If I could give emoov a negative number, I would. My advice is avoid them and go with another online hybrid, or a local agent, at least then you know who you are dealing with.
