Good luck! I haven't been comping that long myself, used to just do advents and the odd few when I was bored. I haven't won anything big yet but I win enough little things to keep my spirits up

i won a 3 day break and gondala ride in venice and an LCD V within 2 dyas. i deffinately didnt think they were "semi decent" wins i was delighted ! all wins are great to me xx:j First prizes back into comping after a break - romantic break to 2 to Venice/ Paris or Rome with romantic trip and a 42 inch TV and blu Ray amazing !

I've been comping for nearly two years. I started with £476 in cash from a quiz, then got sucked into internet competitions and I average what I would call a HUMUNGOUS win about every six months. ipad, Galaxy S3, Samsung TV, Microwave, etc. :-) If I won anything bigger than that, I am sure I would pass out! I consider myself very lucky indeed! I hope everyone who takes the time to post, comment, or generally get involved in the running of this page gets something humungous very soon, as you all make comping a whole lot of fun! :-)0

Just for my curiosity, and I target this question towards those that won a significant prize (i.e. ITV cash/car/holidays etc) - how long have you guys taken part in competitions before THAT big win? And did you win anything semi-decent (like an iPad, LCD TV or a weekend away) throughout this waiting process?

Probably around a year before I won an iPad... I definitely thought that was decent!0

Think I got lucky!
I started comping about two years and within about a week or two won a luxury break in the Yorkshire Dales, staying in a suite costing £500+ per night and a Michelin dinner with wine etc etc.
Guess I got the bug from there, since then won a couple of other breaks and SKY for a year so about every 6 months what I would consider a big win comes along.
