I wrote to the company that sent the letters where did they get my details from. They wrote back saying they got them from Experian.
The only reason I dealt with Experian as a recent mystery shopper assignment I did required me to check my credit score as they only wanted people with cs above a certain number. I did make sure that none of my information was passed on.
Experian have broken their promise and have passed on my details onto Homeserve. How many more companies would they pass on my details onto?
Why would a credit reference company have the cheek to pass on my details when I requested them not to do?
Apart from writing a letter to Experian, would I need to do anything else?

Post this in the "Credit File and Ratings" board (or ask a board guide to move it). There is an Experian rep on that board, might make him squirm a bit.0

Experian make money from data - your application invariably comes with baggage, that your data will be used unless you advise them to the contrary. If you have proof you did this, then Experian need to flag your request. If they refuse, your next step is to complain to the ICO.0
