I'm sure we used to buy safeway savers lemonade and cola around 15 years ago at about 20p a bottle.
It was 15p for either the diet lemonade or cola (which if I remember correctly was still diet but just called 'cola' without any indication of it being sugar free anyway!). I remember this because I used to pick up bottles of it for when I visited my mum after school back in the mid 1990s.
It was either that or tap water....so begun my soft drink addiction... :/

give it a day or two...

for the bazillionth time though, why are you thinking of it as percentages? still? yes it's 30%. So what, it's 6p. If it arrived on a more expensive truck with a load of branded bottles of pop, then they would go up by 6p too.
When the margins are low, any variance in price will be noticed more.
But Tescos are probably still reacting to the hot weather and bumping proces up accordingly.

Tesco changed their lemonade (and tonic water) to include artificial sweeteners, so I don't buy them anymore.

Sainsbobs are just as bad they used to have basic conditioner and shampoo really cheap under 40p a bottle and I would buy a couple of bottles as my DD has four lads who I am sure drink the stuff it seems to have vanished from the shelves now

That's interesting because I can't get value conditioner from Tesco atm, it has been out of stock for ages. Luckily I have plenty at home because I buy it because it really suits my hair, it is a bonus that it is cheap.

Not value but Tesco do have 900ml bottles of Tresemme for £2 at the moment. Equivalent to 55p for 250ml or 66p for 300ml.

Are you sure they are 900ml - not 750ml?

Another shrinking package size I have noticed recently.

I hate it when they do things like this!I generally go into the store with a budget based on prices I have seen previously. Even when things bump up a little bit it sets off my budget so I end up spending longer in the store.

The equivalent is still 17p in Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury's, but they'll all edge upwards. Can't say I blame them.

Still, even at 24p a bottle it's still a damn good alternative to over a £1 for Coke or Pepsi
