Afternoon All
DD and I have been on a bike ride again along the canal nearby. It was lovely, a bit hot at times but ok. We took a packed lunch but treated ourselves to an ice cream!
A little light housework has been done but not much, it's too hot! Washing to come in off the line in a bit and then I'm off to work.
FS - Bet you're glad DD is home, hugs to you all.
Take care. XX0 -
Evening all
Just popping back in to say glad DD is home FS.
TTFTM take care and rest.
Floss2 thanks for the salad idea-I will certainly try it.
Well OH is currently in the spare room in his decorating togs.
Nearly done and we need some carpet and a blind now.
I finally bought some curtains for our bedroom today after OH bought a curtain pole in a closing down sale last week and brought it home on the bus on his maiden trip with his new bus pass. :rotfl: Oh we know how to live! We only decorated it last July LOL.
I exoect to have a frantically busy month from when DD flies in on the 26th. She is already planning a list of dishes she wants to eat and I have been instructed to buy some Molt*n Brown shower gel. She is going halves though phew!
Well that's us this evening and it's food bank distribution day tomorrow so I won't be on here much.
Have a good evening-passes round the C*rnettos.

FS glad DD is home, her pain levels will improve every day!
Very late night last night due to the antics of the drink driving neighbour, ending in us having a visit from the police after 1am! Turns out he drove to an off license to buy more booze and they called the police in the first instance, his other half told them he had been away fishing all day even though all the neighbours had seen him boozing in the garden. He was eventually carried out the house after throwing loads of stuff around in the room his 3 young kids were, and trying to climb out the window whilst shouting abuse to the street......he's already been banned for drink driving, and she has also been charged apparently, as you can imagine they haven't been seen today!
Am melting in the heat, fans are on, windows are wide open, at is sleeping in the bathroom so that must be the coolest place, she's about to be evicted so that I can have another shower!
Hugs where needed, hopefully it will cool down enough for us all to sleep.RIP Iain

Evening all, tried to pop in earlier but got distracted.
TTFTM do rest up and give yourself plenty of time to heal
FS glad your did is home, hopefully she will be on the mend soon and her pain will subside.
My throat is just getting worse. Was practically in tears today at work just trying to swallow my water :-( not sure how long I should give this Second round of antibiotics to kick in - any ideas? I need to call tomorrow and/or Thursday for the results of the throat swab anyway so maybe I should ask them to get the nurse to call me. It's hard to swallow water never mind antibiotics and painkillers :-(
OS wise; NSD on the grocery budget. I made two portions of chile con Polo (chile with chicken not beef mince) for tea so I have leftovers of that for tea tomorrow and I have the slow cooker chuckling away with beef chile in - four portions maybe .
We have sorted the plans for me going to Belgium today, I need to flex my usual budget a little but I'm happy to do that as it will be my summer holiday and I'm unlikely to go to any international tournaments next year. Bf is giving me some money towards it too and whilst he says I don't have to pay him back I will. That or he will get nice surprises For his birthday and Christmas hehe************************************
