    Morning everybody,

I've been up since 5.45.I know thats not unusual for many of you but it certainly is for me :D.DH nearly fainted at 7 when he came down and saw me ironing.Thought I'd get it done before it gets too hot.I'm trying to get the house very tidy too as we are having family and DiL2bs family over on Sunday afternoon.

We are hoping to get a new (cheap) garden table and chairs before then as ours is kna***ed :D.Seen one at Argoose but DH wants to look at $tax too as he has an account there.

I had an exciting morning yesterday as DiL2b & DS2 asked me along with her mum to the 20 week scan. All looking good thankfully and its a little boy :)

I am going out for my lunch tomorrow with my old school friend so I'm looking forward to that.
Probably scampi for tea tonight, nice and quick as DGD will be here.

    FS=well wishes for your DD,and also TTFTMusic-ouch.

Have a nice day everyone x

    Morning all,

Forever saving how is your daughter today? More ((((hugs))) offered your way.

TTFTM. I hope you get on ok at the hospital today. Let us know later how you got on please. I was always falling over at one point but it was due to a change in medication. I'm ok now but still go dizzy on steps (that's why I get 'Youngest' to help me with the windows I need steps for. I'll just have to live with dirty windows when he moves out.:D

Just bits and pieces to do in the house today. I still need to work on my pc. Finally I managed to load the security updates I needed last night but I still have other issues to work on.

I need to think about buying some bedding too. Something bright and pink to make a statement against the plain magnolia walls maybe or shall I stay safe with a pale muted pink which will make the room look bigger? Hmm, lots to think about.

Hubby was tired and grumpy last night. He fell asleep after he ate his tea and then couldn't sleep when he went to bed which made him even grumpier! He growled at me when I mentioned changing the bedding.... I guess that means i'm paying.:(

Quiche tonight, chips too I think. Might even throw in a bit of salad thinking about it.;)

    Have a good day all,

  • Thanks everyone for the kind wishes. I have a torn ligament which needs rest and no other treatment to recover. Have a lovely sponge sling and a foam pad to rest my arm in while in bed :)

I am embarrassed to say I fell because I tripped over my too long trousers. Since I have lost weight, they keep slipping down so I think I need a pair of braces because am not buying any new ones until have finished losing weight! :o

    Hello everyone.

It's turning out to be a lovely day again.

I've been out and about this morning, had a few things to do, including some BBQ food. As DH won't be at work tomorrow we are planning a BBQ lunch.

Now I'm just going to dust and tidy. When I worked full time, I was a lot more focused when it came to housework, and just used to get stuff in and didn't stop for anything. When I started part time work, I honestly thought I'd have the same approach, and by 10am each day I wouldn't have anything to do. Wrong! As I have more time, I'm less focused, get distracted more easily and generally just potter around. But it's nice to do things at a slower pace.

Dinner tonight will be chilli con carne. I did wonder whether it was suitable for a hot day, but as most spicy dishes come from hotter climates, I decided it would be fine.

My credit card expires at the end of the month, and I've got my replacement card. I've been making a list of all the places where the card is registered on line, like Amazon, Oystercard, ITunes, etc, and the list goes on. It'll take ages to update all the details.

TTFTMsounds painful, hope it mends well

FS best wishes to you and DD

Rest up today, Falling over. Must have been to much wine!, But really rest up today and try and have bath, That will ease your bruises.

Rosyred congratulations a lovely little boy, any names yet? Our little girl is due in October as you know, Lola and Amelia seem to be top of the list at the moment

    Morning all,

Not the day I expected. I'd planned a quiet day pottering, sitting in the garden and generally relaxing, however DD rang last night to say DGS was covered in chicken pox and could I have him today so she could work. No problem that's what grandmas are for. So I have a very spotty little boy here getting spottier by the minute! He seems fine though hopefully he won't be ill with them.
It's glorious again so he is covered in sun cream and calamine lotion, looks like a little spotty ghost:rotfl:
He will go to his other gran tomorrow and dads off on Friday.
My legs a bit stiff from swimming yesterday so shall try and rest.

Hope your all having a nice day in the sunshine x

    Morning all

Lovely day again here but slightly cooler I think.

Cooked DH a Hairy Biker's breakfast as a treat because he's decorating. I bought the watercress yesterday and hoped he'd forgotten but no chance!

Have just wshed the kitchen floor, have DS's bedding on the line and I am going up to clean the bathroom(cool front of house).

OH is in the second week of redundancy/retirement and is out planting lettuce in his Bill and Ben hat.

In the cool of the evening he is decorating the spare room and wears long swimming shorts and nothing else while he is wielding the paint brush. :rotfl: We wouldn't be decorating in this hot weather but DD's arrival from Japan is getting close.

Then last night the drain in the drive blocked up and he had to go and get the rods down. I just managed to get him to put a t shirt on over his shorts! Can't show his v hairy torso to the street

Tea is quiche new potatoes and salad. I have the ingredients to make a Waldorf salad and tabbouleh as DH likes interesting salad-sigh. That reminds me-I need a lemon. I cheated and bought the quiche......

Well kind wishes for poorlies and hugs, coffee cake and lemon drizzle cake for those who'd like some. Coffee's in the pot -help yourselves.

    Have a good day.

TTFTM ouchie-ouch! Make sure you do REST that arm; you have my sympathy, as my shoulders and wrists are currently so painful that every single task needs thinking through in advance, to avoid causing more pain.

FS I hope they let your poor DD home today - GWS vibes for her.

The doglets will be picked up in about 40 minutes' time, then I'm dogless til Thursday evening:( - Jessie is due to arrive at 18:00 Thursday, and we have Mr LW's pal Andy coming to visit at 20:00 the same night!

Once these two have left, my first task is the "Dys0n Tango" methinks! They're moulting for Britain!:D

    Afternoon all,

Gosh another belter of a day here - windows and fans going full blast in the office.

Just had a text from my OH, she has dropped the iron on her foot and it is all bruised and swollen. (hope the iron is ok! :D )

H Hester - if all else fails you could sell your body! :D
TTFTM - oh dear I'm sure that is painful, plenty of rest required. Standard Life are a nightmare with endowments (though I suppose other companies are as bad). I was expecting £50 to £55k from mine, but the value dropped like a stone and I only got £25k.

GS stayed with us last night and just couldn't settle for some reason. He was awake every couple of hours. OH and I are both very tired today, of course he is bouncing! Probably why wife dropped the iron. She just texted to say the iron was ok - she knows me so well!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
