Halifax reward later this month?

My £5 reward is late this month so yesterday I called them. I do of course satisfy the T&C each month by paying in at least 1k and have 2 current DDs.

They informed me they checked my account and there is no reason it should not be credited but they have until the 10th of the month to credit the £5.

Anyone else had to wait this long?

    Had mine.

Did one of your trigger transactions occur early / late in the month?

Considering that we are an entire working week into the month now, I would expect everyone to have been paid. If you have not been paid I would check the statement date of your £750 deposit and 2 DDs to ensure they occurred in June and not that you paid them in June, but they were processed in July.

Was paid the day after my £750 went in (so 2nd July), the dd's obviously go in later in the month. So no delay on my account, if that helps as a comparison for you.

Your reward payment date is not related to when you deposited the £750. Any reward payment due will always be paid on the 2nd working day of the month.

Anyone having paid in their £750 on June 29 or 30 will not have had that deposit credited until July 1 - i.e. will not have met the "fiver" requirements for June and won't have got, and will not get, the fiver for July.

Are you saying that £750 was paid into your account on 1 July? If so, that should have nothing to do with the £5 Reward received on 2 July which would be in respect of transactions in June.
  • I didn't get mine this month 'cause I stupidly forgot to cycle through my £750 doh.... kicking myself... ouch!!

Not sure about the "2nd working day." Every reward payment I've had since January 2012 has been credited to my account by the 3rd calendar day at the latest and several have been on the 1st of the month.

I forgot about my BoS accounts and made the transfers on the 1st July and lost out on over £30 of interest!

A quick call to BoS got them to apply the interest, with the reminder that they'll not do it a second time.

The same problem can arise with DDs that would normally be paid at the end of the month. Two DDs have to be paid during the month, and DDs which are held over until the 1st because of the weekend won't count.

    Sorted

One of my DDs (which is their credit card) money was not taken till 1 Jul. This meant that I did not have 2 DDs actually paid out in June.

They have credited me the £5 for June as they agreed it was a bit unfair that I have jumped thro the hoops only to be undone by their system.

Anyway this may help others. Ensure that you have 2 DDs come out each calendar month. You will get the £5 reward the month following.

Also the guy from the CEO Office who contacted me informed me that the statement that they have until the 10th of the month to credit the reward is incorrect. It should be paid on 1st or 2nd.
