    Morning all

    Thanks cw.

Jeferey what a lovely load of veggies, bet they were lovely.

    Xx
  • Jeff you really do have a talent for gardening!

I'm a bit annoyed now.My mate and i called a halt to the veg this year dues to how wet it had been we would have started stupidly late.Turns out we probably would have had a good crop if we hadnt

Its been gorgeous hasn't it, couldn't believe how warm it was when I was out scavenging the last of the blackberries earlier (should've gone again a few weeks ago really judging by what was, or rather wasn't left) but got enough to be going on with. In fact ,we've just shut the patio door because of all the daddy long legs we keep getting in but still warm outside.
My friend and I tried to go picking yesterday but some blighters had beaten us to it(we saw them on the trail with 2 huge tubs). However there's tons of reds left so gonna try again at the end of the week. Not that i like them.maybe ate a few too many rotten ones as a kid

Spent 2 hours digging up potatoes yesterday, really good crop this year and I've still got 2 rows to go!

I also got some sweetcorn, beetroot, parsnips and carrots and we had them for tea with some beef (had to buy this ;)) - picked and eaten on same day - marvellous!

The pumpkins are going well too, the one at the back is the smallest.

Thats a bumper crop of spuds Jeferey. Great that they are picked, cooked and eaten the same day as well.

What a shame you had to buy the beef. You should have looked for a nice dtd piece of gammon like the one I got last week.:rotfl:

I was looking to buy some potatoes for the first time in months on Friday and was shocked at the price of them. They have really become expensive. I never bothered, decided real chips not good for me anyways. So not only nice and fresh potatoes but saving yourself a fortune as well, well done.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Sitting in starbucks leeching the internet from the greggs next door(as theirs actually works) before heading to the library, seeing as the internet at home is borked and virgin dont seem to be able to make up their minds when it will be fixed:mad: At least its an area problem so it will get fixed a hell of a lot quicker than if it was just us.However its kinda put a dent in my study plans. Never mind for now i have coffee and cake :D

I had a rushed but great time thanks guys. I didn't just meet up with doc but met up with Aesop, Adoreholiday, Idlesaver and PM (for the first time) :j:j:j It was a long day as set off at 5.40am and didn't get home till 7.30pm but enjoyed it and the train/tube fares were courtesy of RSH so a cheap day out.
