Afternoon everyone. Just catching up with this thread.

Jeferey Thanks for the information about the blackcurrant bushes - hadn't expected you to spend time looking up on the web! It certainly seems to be the sawfly although I couldn't see anything when I looked. Picked all the fruit now so hope the bushes survive for next year.
PM Hope you and the babe are keeping well.
CW Glad to hear you are improving and also your rose - perhaps you'll both be on top form soon.

Turned really warm here in the last half hour - hope you all enjoy whatever sun you have.

We are off to a beer fest tonight as we have a visit from the band from the German town we are twinned with. Should be lots of beer flowing, singing, dancing & merrymaking. When they have these in their town they are huge events & enormous fun but I can't see us having the busty frauleins who carry about 8 steins of beer at a time!

Thanks Red. Hope you enjoy the beer fest, plenty to drink is what you need in this weather.

Morning everyone - sunny here too and already feels as though it is going to be a hot day.
Glad you had good weather for your barbeque Jeferey.
The beerfest on Saturday was great fun - we had 2 bands playing, our German visitors and also a local one & both of them were excellent.
Yesterday went and ordered a new shed. Our existing one, a lovely cedarwood one, which must be 50 years old, had rotted & was lopsided making it difficult to open the door. Apparently the sunshine has increased their orders so much that earliest delivery isn't until September. Have to say we are not replacing it with another cedarwood one! Now we have to sort out all the rubbish in the old one but that will be a good exercise.

Oh PM, I am so sorry to hear your sad news. There is not a lot I can say that can possibly ease your pain. I think all of us on the forum were all thinking that this time there was to be a good outcome.
My prayers are with you and your husband.
