Been for a 27 mile bike ride this afternoon. Father's Day meant I could do something for me!
Hope you all had a great weekend :D

27 miles. wow. That is some ride. Thought you might have been sat in a pub having a meal and a pint for Fathers Day. lol.

Spoke too soon about it still working - walked into the kitchen and the freezer had started to warm up and I had a puddle on the floor so off for scrap this afternoon when the new one arrives.

What a shame but at least you had the replacement fridge/freezer lined up.

Morning all :D no not Xmas already, I'm on countdown to the next holiday first near Whitby

When are you going? Hope the weather is nice so you can scoff the lovely "proper" fish and chips outside. That is what I miss, decent fish and chips. I grew up on proper fish and chips but when we moved found it hard to find a decent chippy:(

    Good morning
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Talking of friges/freezers this weekend I have defrosted one of my freezers and now am in the process of defrosting the other. I think there is an ice build up on one so thought may as well do it now. I bought my 2nd freezer just before Martin opened his mouth and blabbed bout coupons:( My freezers and fridge were always full then, now I can put all the stuff in one freezer :( The only way to get a full freezer nowadays seems to be through a glitch on something frozen than through any coupons

    Good morning all.

Know what you mean Blue. I still have a full freezer (as well as the fridge/freezer) but mainly because the last year we had such a good crop of fruit, particularly apples that I freeze to last throughout the year, hopefully.

I really miss my "free" shopping trips to Waitrose. It was so lovely to be able to print out all the coupons before going to the shop and hand them over as cash - even if some of the cashiers didn't like it. Mind you, I now take full advantage of the freebies offered by Waitrose with their card but it's not quite the same.

I haven't got a Waitrose nr to me unfortunately, but if I am out somewhere and see one then pop in for my coffee :D I am so impressed with Waitrose service/staff that now I am collecting Waitrose vouchers instead of m&s fot my xmas dinner. I think it will be worth travelling the 10 miles to have some nice food. Service at M&S has gone downhill I think.:(

    Good morning
Morning Blue, we're off end of next month. I hope the weather is nice too as we will have free use of their beach hut for a couple of days - it was great last time :D

Our nearest Waitrose is about 20 miles away!
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

We have 3 choices in the town - Waitrose, Sainsburys (which I dislike as often don't have stock of items I want) and Aldi.

Sainsburys are really suffering since Aldi opened. Have to travel at least 10 miles to find any of the other big stores so more of my shopping is now done in Aldi. I find their own brands are pretty good especially the cereals.
