Hi Cw - I took FD swimming Saturday and then walked her to allotment. We ended up weeding her section and planting some sunflowers!

Went for a family meal out for DD1's 19th yesterday. Brilliant :D

Morning everyone, chucked it down this morning.

We used to plant sunflowers when we were little. We loved how massive they grew so I am sure your giving your FD some lovely childhood memories giving her her own space at the allotment.:):):)

Am I right in thinking to grow garlic I just need a sprouty bulb? the bulbs in wilko looked awfully like some that end up at the back of my fridge or am I being simple? :o

You just need an individual clove. Don't use anything smaller than 1cm in diameter. You may find that supermarket-bought cloves won't grow, as some are treated with a sprout inhibitor but probably worth a try.You need to get them in soon as poss. as it's almost too late!

Thanks CW, she loves making mud pies too!

    Morning all :D

Hmmm, i've prob got non-sprouty ones this time lol (although they are 'basics' so prob no additional treatment hee hee). Better get gardening this weekend then. Is there still time for the others? Someone said i could just use tomato pips and stick them in the soil to grow - will this work?

Yes that should work although I would probably start them off in a pot with some compost in on a sunny windowsill, keep them moist (not soaking) and when it's a reasonable size transplant to final position :)

Sorry hun but its bad news as far as I can tell.

To get the 20 free listings per month you LOSE the 100 free .99p listings per month.
You pay more listing fees, up from 20p for some of our items to 35p each. Plus lots of other changes for sellers that are definately not good.

Plus we will shortly be troubled with the new "defect" rule which will cause pretty bad disruption to ebay accounts. The new rules coming in in a few months time will affect most sellers when every neutral, negative or low stars (3 or under) will seriously harm your selling account.

There is bound to be more announcements in the coming months but it reeally appears to be bad news for the private seller.

Morning CW and everyone else :D.
Hadn't heard about the other changes CW - that's a shame. Don't sell much nowadays, gift aiding more stuff to charity as it's tax efficient for me and them :)
