Same here Kerri, lovely weekend. Actually cut the lawn for the first time. Garden looks a lot tidier.
Put some more potatoes in at the allotment with FD.
    Morning everyone :D

Shame about your weather CW, we had a bit of rain yesterday but supposed to be sunny today.
I've started off some tomato, pepper, leek and purple cabbage seeds at home.

Weather is still cold here. Managed to sow few seeds but nothing seems to come out so far due to all cold windy weather :( or am I being impatient lol :rotfl:

I bought 1 greenhouse last week.

It was £15 when I bought it and now gone up to £19 !!! but well worth it especially in this cold weather. It has got lot of room for loadsa pots :)

    Good morning guys

Idlesaver I hope your new garden gives you lots of pleasure. Just be careful it doesn;t get too windy where the greenhouse is. I know someone who had one of these and it blew over in the wind smashing all her seed trays.

    Hope everyone is well.

Morning CW, IS and everyone else.

I do have a greenhouse and I put the seedlings in there when it's warm enough. I don't heat it so if there's a frost forecast I put a recycled candle underneath and sit the seed trays on an old metal tray. When I'm starting them off I keep them in our heated conservatory as it's warmer but there's still plenty of light.

I used to have one of those IS, worked really well for tomatoes, peppers, etc.
The only thing I would say is make sure you tie it down really well - I used to use 2 elastic luggage hooks. I just made a small hole through the plastic on each side and hooked one end through the hole and around the metal tubes inside the greenhouse and then the other end to the garden fence - even a gale didn't blow it over.

The plastic eventually perished but I still use the metal bit to store stuff on :)

Some of my tomatoes have germinated and all the red cabbage have started too :D

Evening all turned wet and windy tonight here. Finger still bandaged so limited to what I can do ATM but have managed to get back in the kitchen a bit. Thai butternut squash soup a deff success, made last night and gorgeous today, even if I do say so myself.

Lots to do in the garden but think it will be another week before I can even consider it.

    Good morning guys

Would love to get my son to mow the lawn, its very straggly, but its just too damp atm. Maybe next week we will get a few dry days?

Its sunny now but so cold, am sure we had a bit of frost over night as well.

Take care all and hope you all have a nice weekend.

I love butternut squash soup Kerri - I made some from my home grown squashes and froze a load. Had some for lunch this week - lovely :D
