Same like you CW its still too cold for me to be in the garden. :o

Started making beds on sunday ready to sow but only to see this cold weather back again grrrrr:(

I just wanted to tidy up my garden, broken plants, twigs, weeds etc. We seem to have a lot of moss as well even in the borders. Got some wood bark to put down to try and keep weeds under control before the summer really hits us.

Does anyone know why weeds grow healthier than proper flowers/plants.:rotfl: cos I have the healthiest weeds ever.:rotfl:. Slugs never eat the weeds.

Do you like Gardening IS? I don't have a garden, but suits me as don't like gardening. Like the gardens around me which have lovely flowers in and can appreciate nice gardens but think did too much forced gardening as a kid

I don't actually like gardening I just like it to be nice and tidy and weeded so got to be done. I like it when its finished though.:)

The only problem with the free RSH now is that they are all so short dated so cannot amass a decent amount like used to be able to. Would like to go to London but weekend return is about £90+or £68 single for me atm:(
I agree, I much preferred it when they expired in 2020 or whatever.
I got a £9.50 one (from The Sun) and used that for my daughter to come back from London First Class so I only paid £4.50 but that was an Advance ticket so waaay cheaper. I prefer East Coast website as quite often the prices are cheaper than RSH although they've brought in a price guarantee now.

Hope the Eat coast trains are better than they were last year cos the one I went on was a dump:( I was in the first class and the plugs didn't work, seats were a bit dirty and the free coffee was old and horrid:( Free little packets of biscuits were ok though :cool:
We've been First Hull and East Coast and both have been clean with great food. Let's hope it's ok this time.

How many cc points was it to stay a the Hilton? Didn't know cc did decent hotel rooms. At the moment though I am saving for a hudl. I've doubled up so got £50 worth, just need as much as I can in the next cc period so can get one for as little as possible before the end of July
We've stayed with Hilton through CC about 8 times now, London x 4, Edinburgh x 2, York, Warwick. Managed to get 4X last year on a special offer but only 3X this year so 5 people in 2 rooms for 2 nights at Easter cost us a bit over £200 in CC deals. Didn't think it was too bad but it feels "free" as we don't hand any money over IYKWIM :D
like the Hilton through CC as they are flexible with the dates and it doesn't have to bee a weekend break. We're going Mon - Weds. :)

    Morning everyone :D

We've had fog too last 2 mornings and a bit of mist this morning but it's cleared before lunchtime. Lovely and warm yesterday, it was still 16°C at 4:30 p.m.

Good afternoon. It's a lovely day, shame I'm spending the afternoon at the dentist having a tooth out. Never mind hopefully I will soon be able to chew loadsa barbecue meat as it's ideal barbecue weather and supposed to be lasting.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

    Beautiful day here.

Hope the extraction was OK. My dentist is great on prevention otherwise I think I would be losing quite a few teeth by now.

Our grass really needs cutting but still pretty damp as we are on clay. Noticed today that some animal, probably a fox, has made quite a pathway on our lawn between the houses either side of us. My neighbour said he has seen a young one sitting on top of our compost bin having a good look around. Also noticed frogs in the pond so spring is certainly coming.

Hope the sun stays for the weekend - makes everyone so much happier.

I'm still about, but had a bit of an accident after my post last weekend, resulting in not much of the garden getting done and a trip to hospital. Could have been worse and been patched up but typing is still quite sore.
