Good morning sophiewall, hope wherever you are your free from rain/wind/floods:)

Sun is shining today here, but very cold :( I've just spent an hour trying to find out who my OH's car was insured by as I thought that the insurance was up on the 25th and had no renewal documents:( I finally decided to pay £4 to askmid and get the details of who it was insured by and ring them. Turns out it doesn't expire till the end of May so that's why haven't received anything. I hate online billing etc, very difficult to find information if you can't remember the company and with insurance there is so many quotes from various companies it is difficult to remember who you take it out with in the end, well it was for me:o:o
    Good afternoon sophiewall and Blue.
Blue, I've started printing stuff to PDF and filing them on my laptop, it's so easy to forget....

I think I am going to have to do that as well. I do pay extra for Virgin media paper billing as think it is worthwhile, easier to keep an eye on them, but nowadays a lot of places don't even give you that option.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

I'm always worried about saving stuff on my laptop in case anything happens to it, but I have recently bought an external storage so can put it on that. Mind you nothing much to print coupon wise anymore so using printer and paper not a big deal. I got 20 reams of paper when it was on offer for 29p, still got 19 reams of it:(

  • Good evening everyone:)

I too prefer paper statements etc as easy to forget :o We just been caught out with a online transaction for an offer for Bespoke on our Barclaycard in Dec completely forgot as not a card we use ever as it was just for a balance transfer that had been cleared years ago. Eeeek clearing out emails found that they had put stop on card beginning of February as had missed paying the £5 off:eek::eek::eek: luckily DH rang and sorted they now posting statements removed the £12 account charges AND set up DD in case make a similar purchase again. We were also concerned abt credit file but also said as was only for £5 would be fine lesson learnt.:o

morning everyone. sorry been awol again. just busy and don't really go online much except for surveys and daily clicks.

I agree with checking all your statements. someone I know doesn't and the bank told her she had duplicate payments to the same company, insurance for items she nolonger owned! All I can say is she must be on great money if she didnt miss all that money!!! Imagine how much better off she is now.

I think it is a good idea to check all statements for council tax, phone, broadband etc. I remember being billed for a film I never watched at a time I couldn't have watched it!

maybe you need a diary Blue with renewal dates etc.
