M&S and there silly vases

Note sure what relevance that is you can get vases much cheaper than a tenner, M&S is suppose to be quality and a premium price
I imagine the M&S vase is made in two completely separate processes. A completely clear glass vase is produced. Then, in a separate, low-temperature process, the coloured coating is sprayed on to the inside of the vase. If a glassblower were to produce something like the M&S vase, they could make the whole thing out of glass. First, making a clear vase. Then, while it’s still relatively hot, coating the inside with ground coloured glass and working the inside smooth, resulting in a solid glass vase.
As you’ve found out, it’s extremely difficult to get things to stick to glass. It’s relatively smooth and resistant to chemical processes. But, there’s no reason for someone buying the M&S vase to appreciate this. It’s a failure in taking the designer’s original design and translating it into a manufactured product.古池や蛙飛込む水の音0
