Would you consider a secondhand boiler ?

We're in desperate need of a new boiler.
We've got the chance to buy a Worcester 330. This would meet our needs.
It's been serviced by BG and is 3 years old.
We've contemplated rental but my OH isn't so keen.
No idea on how much this boiler might cost us at the moment.

We're totally strapped for cash so being able to afford a new one could be an age a way.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Without knowing the price compared to new, who can say? And being serviced by BG is hardly a recommendation.
Do you have an RGI who is prepared to install and sign off a secondhand boiler? I can't imagine that many would.
Why is a 3 year old WB for sale though?

    Hi Macman

Apparently it's being removed from a property that's being gutted.
As to why it's being removed/ replaced I don't know.

    Fair point re BG.

As for a RGI being prepared to sign it off as ok that I certainly hadn't thought about or considered.

    Thanks for your reply.

not a chance i'd fit it or sign it off, plus the 330 is not a WB it's a glowworm re-badged
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.
  • Unless you're 100% sure of the quality of the installation and history of the boiler the answer is no.
