Boy am I stupid today - I didn't see that joke until it was explained! hee hee:rotfl:

The walk took me 40 mins. I'm def. doing the virtual running club from my sofa.

I brainjuice when I'm invited, earned 25p this morning for not being the sort of profile they wanted....

Despite the fact that it looks like we're talking to ourselves

I'm so happy, because I've just discovered that my MS assignment that was under query will be paid after all. It was a dodgy moment when I got the e-mail saying that I needed to submit a receipt. Fortunately they believed me that it would have drawn attention to me if I'd insisted on having one. (You get to go to some strange places on this MS malarky. But it's Jolly Good for shaking me out of my comfort zone.....):j

Sad really, two years ago I'd think I was a loser for minding the loss of £5 + expenses (though expenses at this one was £18.50, but we did eat a nice meal) Now I'm reet made up.

I can't remember where or how I signed up.
    https://www.juicybrainspanel.com
they send me an e-mail, I click on it and answer questions about myself, (gender, age group, type of job) and if I fit their profile I've looked at mock snacks for example and suggestions for advertising campaigns for these products and clicked away. If I complete a survey I think I get money (£1?)credited to my account, if I don't fit their profile 25p is added to my account as a thank-you. (current balance £2.75) These can be exchanged for Amazon vouchers at £5 intervals. I might have a £5 for Christmas?

    Woopee, another NS Day.
OH spent £9.00 on parking(!!!) but the company will repay us ...eventually.

    Can this possibly be maintained?
OH pulled into a service station on the way home because he felt tired. I can't believe he didn't buy a coffee or a bottle of water. But he's now on a roll :D He even says he'd like a packed lunch each day! Not 'til the week after next now though as he's away overnight tomorrow, and we're off to my parents for a week on Saturday.

I hope they allow me my MSE fix on their computer......

well done with the no spend day.

it's good that your mystery shop paid out. i have read that a few companies can be a bit funny and refuse to if you haven't done things to the letter.

there are some other decent survey sites to sign up to - my.tns, pure profile, you gov etc. there are some that aren't worth bothering with (in my opinion) like test and vote. some of them you can get quidco cash for signing up, for some others use the referal board (i always choose a dfw's link to sign up through).

another thing to do, if you haven't already, is to arm yourself with loyalty cards. boots, nectar, tesco & whsmiths are the main ones, and keep your eyes on the grabbit, freebie and discount boards for free points, extra points vouchers and good deals.

and yet another good one is matched betting. bonus bagging from bookies. but you do need to understand what you're doing and it can take a while to get your head round it.

Well today has already started well. Sir doesn't need the car until this evening so I don't have to walk and that has saved me half an hour, so I should be cleaning the toilet, but I'm lurking on here.;)

I've checked my MS site and I will be paid £79 next week, £39 of which is my fee, the remainder is expenses incurred. (all those meals and drinks that I've endured! - not to mention the Paris outing) :T

Another MS trip tonight and I'm going with a girlfriend; maybe she'll pay me that £30 she owes as well. I have real problems getting people to pay back what they owe; she'd be mortified if she knew, but can I ask? I spent many years as a credit controller (the person in accounts who gets their customers to pay their bills) yet have not been able to transfer those skills to my own life. We never for instance manage to get our children to pay back ALL the money they borrow. (They're not borrowing now, they know we don't have it!) In fact we don't lend anymore.

    olive morning BTW!

A couple of times in my 4 month experience, there have been incorrect details on my reports. But only once have they not paid out because of my error.

I'm not to sure about the points system, I know how I collect the points, but I'm not sure of the purpose. We have a sneaky suspicion that at certain levels the assignments improve. One of the accountants in my former job, told me that his wife owned or was a director of a MS company and he told me about the work. He & she went on transatlantic flights v occasionally as an assignment. Apparently Richard Bransons company is VERY Particular about the service their crew offer (smile within x seconds etc) and relies on MS-ers. I'm working my way up to that level......

    ha ha. morning olive.

as i said, i have no experience of mystery shopping other than reading diaries/threads on here. i haven't got a car so i wouldn't be much good to anyone.

it's awkward when it's friends and family that owe you money. it depends on who it was as to whether i'd ask outright for it back or just drop into the conversation about money problems. have they forgotten, was it a while ago?
